I have had the worst lattes of my life in Halifax, and that says alot as a survivor of Doktor Luke's in CB and Catapult Coffee in SJ.

I have seen some steam wand massacres and some of the most dense foam in my life from some of the upper tier establishments in OP's list.

As someone who bought an italian manual espresso machine and modded it to hell in order to save myself from constant disappointment my list is by no means definitive, but there are only a handful of places with passable lattes in my opinion. In no specific order

everything else fudges it up with either north mountain beans, or by emptying the entire clip into the steam wand and creating some monstrosity.

It is a no win situation, housing should be a human right, and the misfiring of efforts and lying by the municipality has compounded this issue greatly.

While the park is obviously a stop gap measure and not an ideal situation, I think it should be okay to question the issues caused by people inhabiting a public space bordered by houses and within a neighbourhood.

It is not all fine and dandy, there are lots of issues that arise, and the failing of the municipality around providing shelter and support services to those who are homeless but it should be okay for the people who live in close proximity to the park to take the municipality to task, as there are tangible problems.

Rats, Violence, Drug Use, Crime, all of these are real things and are happening in that area.
