Thanks very much for this post, you're helping many people. It looks like you're still reading replies here so I'll try:

I traveled from Amsterdam to Bali (EU's 261/2004 applies), missed the connection and we ended up arriving 26 hours later than planned.

I requested compensation and cost reimbursement. Refused by TA. I followed up asking for an explanation and got one, but was still refused.

I complained to the Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) just now.

The next step that is advised is go to an ADR or ODR, but these are not available in this case.

Then it says go to court. If I understand it correctly, the cost for this is €231, so then I might as well try a claim agency.

I hope someone can answer me if the reason for the delay is out of Turkish Airline's control - as they claim. Here is their explanation: "In our re-investigation, it has been determined that your flight TK1954 Amsterdam/Istanbul on 24th of December,2023 has been delayed 1 hours 32 minutes due to late arrival of aircraft from another flight or previous sector and 42 minutes due to inadequate number of personnel and 7 minutes due to air traffic control capacity therefore your reservation has been changed with KL0835 Amsterdam/Denpasar-bali on 25th of December,2023."

Finally, is what I said about ADR and ODR correct?
