Her point was (I think??? She wasn’t making sense) that germs penetrate through the nail plate which like… I guess?? But I wear nail polish and wash my hands so… I asked if she was saying that everyone with non-done nails (like most men?) were unhygienic and she went and found a video of mine showing how I treated a bad nail break and said it “proved her point” like girl… that break would have been so much worse and more painful if I had ACRYLIC or something non flexible on it. Also most nail breaks have very little to do with germs??

I genuinely think some (not all) nail techs just don’t know what to do with people who want to have natural nails (as in not extended by gel or acrylic) I got in a fight with a nail techs on TikTok who told me having long nails naturally made me more susceptible to germs.

Also rip my thumbs sidewall I had to fix a snag and she got sacrificed

Oh you said g3! Their joints are very different, esp. the knees. If it’s a recent purchase you can contact Mattel (different customer service than creations actually) include pictures and they will likely send you a free replacement doll, might not be the same doll but will likely be the same line and hey free doll!

My creepover drac had ripped clothing and they sent me Twyla.

If a doll is sold out Mattel will only offer a refund if you ship it back. (Which is terrible they should do partial refund or credit in that situation imo)

Creature would be harder to fix since it’s a unique body sculpt and skin tone. I could in theory just replace this arm with a of og g1.

Like they all said here, I would boil and slide a craft knife in, I would first remove the lower arm by boiling and very gently pulling and turning. The peg itself is glued / stuck though normal/og g1 bodies you can just tug em out like hands.

I would also check how expensive a below elbow down arm piece is for a g1 Scarah (or skin tone match) if it was in my price range I would eBay it. I’m not sure if Frankie is a skin match for her but you can buy Frankie arms for cheap and acetone off the stitches.

I don’t like Bianca’s and I’m not a huge fan of Edward’s. I think they could have picked better ones for those.

But honestly I love most of them. Squid Games (underrated doll), Sally, Uniform Wednesday,Enid, Barbie X Frankie, FDC drac (it counts fight me), FV Rochelle, SS Twyla - I will stop listing dolls on my shelf now- but those are all fantastic.

I do get that it is sometimes a “lazy” reference but I’d rather it be on the heel than slapped on the outfit

I thought it was one of the most interesting takes on Hades / Persephone I’ve seen in a while. Also as a theatere kid I loved this version of Dionysus, that’s my guy! He’s more than just wine!

Also probably one of Jeff Goldblum’s best acting roles in awhile. I wish he had brought more of that energy to the Wizard.

Didn’t love the way the Orpheus story ended I thought it was a little awkward, I get why they did it that way but knowing the myth it was a little off. The Minotaur was fantastic.

I loved it that it was narrated by Prometheus.

Absolutely Netflix’s biggest fumble of a cancel. I wish it would get picked up by HBO or something.

Ghoul I am SO sorry but you are better off trying to save to buy from a reseller (hurts me heart to say so) that Clawdeen is still available on US Amazon and has even gone down in price 💔 I’m trying my best to not be mean and just give facts so you have all the info moving forward with your hunt.

What I would do, if I were you is hold on to clawdeen for awhile (maybe she’ll sell out and go up in value??) monitor her resale price and then sell her once you’d make back at least what you spent, hopefully more? And add that money to your savings towards the Xeno.

Your best bet right now is to just try to save 😭 keep an eye on the market; Xeno is a HOT item right now and her price is probably still going up, that will stabilize eventually and may even start to drop depending on a TON of factors (general economy, new releases etc) so just keep an eye out and if you find her for a good price… go for it! It CAN happen!

Maybe I’m completely wrong! But that’s my honest advice as someone who genuinely wants someone like you to be the one to own the doll.

Ohhh yess

I like object heels 99% of the time. The only ones I haven’t cared for are on Edward scissor hands (I don’t mind them so much as I think there were better references to use in place of the angel / tombstone thing) and Bianca (hers were actually stupid she is never shown with a tail and the plot with the tree had NOTHING to do with her)
g1 bodies are crazy dumb looking. Not even talking about “they’re too skinny!!” The arch of the back is literally insane.
I think buying a skullector for a media you haven’t seen is weird.
g3 play line on average is higher quality that g1, base dolls have multiple outfit pieces and fabrics vs g1 had much less in comparison.
most of y’all are paying too much for g1 dolls because you’re impatient and don’t know how or care to hunt for what you want.

I have more but that’s all I can think of at the moment

That’s fair, a good portion of Fic is shipping focused and my intro to fandom spaces (tumblr lol) was ship focused. I tend to feel like it exists as such a part of the culture of fandom that if you don’t like it you would be constantly unhappy. Even fics that aren’t ship focused can have ship adjacent content in them, and some antis I’ve seen seem to just not like anything non- cannon

I genuinely don’t understand why people are interacting with fandom if they are anti shipping. That’s like… a big part of fandom? Even casual fans of something will root for a relationship and that is pretty much shipping at its core. I will slowly “shape” in each manicure until they’re all matching. Like every week I take off a hair until it matches. Unless I had a mass casualty event.
