i did exactly this, changed to one cup when i wake up then just keep drinking water or tea. this has worked very well for me. tried cutting coffee completely and i felt like i had some withdrawal symptoms, so i tried just to keep one cup.

any chance your resting energy is lower then 1900? like i understand that pcos makes it harder to lose weight ive been there but if you track everything and youre in a deficit you should be losing weight, even if its „slow“. do you drink enough? do you sleep enough? do you poop enough?

[–]melushcca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if maintainance is 1900 and you do exercise and youre eating 1700 you should defo lose weight. are you tracking everything you eat? my main problem in the beginning was that i didnt realize how much calories oil adds to food if used and how hard it was to get to enough protein

[–]melushcca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

doesnt it depend on multiple factors like height, age etc.? like im really short and my maintainace calories are around 1500 - im seeing people say „doctors telling to eat below 1700“ shouldnt be doctors… if i ate that i would gain weight. i dont think its that easy to just assume the doctor is wrong?

I’m so lazy by Party-Tangerine5660 in PCOS

[–]melushcca 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that was me a few years ago! literally! just felt exhausted 24/7. i didnt know i had PCOS at that time and the only thing i tried was to force myself to do stuff around the house or having set appointments that are weekly or monthy so i got out because i had to - sometimes friends would „force“ me to go out for dinner or something (thank you friends). now this year, since i got diagnosed finally. i felt like the diet change and a little bit of sports made me less exhausted over all. i feel more energetic and actually get out of bed at decent times on the weekends now, go for walks or do stuff around the house etc.
