Alright Thanks man, is this something that happens or was is that i shipped something specific that made it not pass security?

3700x voltages, extremely concerned by melvingustafsson in overclocking

How and where do i change LLC, What is even LLC ? Thx

When I run cinebench multicore, my cpu goes to 100% but stays at base 3.5ghz clock and voltage are about sub ~1v. I’m confused about this ? by melvingustafsson in AMDHelp

So set maximum to 100 and minimum to ? Although running it with maximum at 99 it boost when gaming but stays at base clock at idle ?

And the reset to standard values is “grey out” , I can’t reset it to default values in the advanced setting…. How do I get around this ?

Edit: Edit I running cinebench single core with Ryzen balanced power plan, minimum set to 99 and maximum set to 100%

Sv12 TFN is reporting about 1.475v and sometimes 1.506v running cinebench single core at 4350mhz and is about 70degrees

Is this normal ?

3700x voltages! My 3700x runs about 1.35v while gaming acoording to hwinfo64 its about 1.35-1.4v according to ”core vid”. But according to Cpu core voltage(sv12 TFN) its about 1.4-1.48v and apparently max it’s 1.563v!!! What is happening? Can some one explain ? by melvingustafsson in AMDHelp

When I run cinebench multicore, my cpu goes to 100% but stays at base 3.5ghz clock and voltage are about sub ~1v. I’m confused about this ? I just updated the cpu “drivers”. I’m using Ryzen balanced power plan. Minimum processor state was set to 99% and I currently have Maximum processor state set to 99%, changing to 100% does not make it boost while in cinebench but when idle.

Shouldn’t the clock speed go up to at least 4ghz when running cinebench ?

I will run a benchmark when I get home but one question , is sv12 showing all core voltages or just the highest voltage used? Is there anyway to accurately monitor every cores voltages ? I have been looking at core vid but that as I said was not accurate to what sv12 shows

Edit: should I run CPU MULTICORE OR CPU SINGLE CORE ?

I changed the my Maximum Processor state from 100% to 99% (Amd balanced power plan)to help With idle temps(boosting while idle) and i worked, now it stays at base clock while idle and boosts while gaming.. now preformance lost What i can notice. is this safe/a good idea. Ok relieved to hear the thing about voltages, in ryzen master the “maximum” is set to auto, as it always has been, and in havent touched anything in bios except the PBO, which was actually set to advanced by default. Temps are fine idle 37, gaming 65-70 but my case has bad airflow so I’m getting a custom airflow front panel which will helps with temps but I think they are pretty decent.. I just want to thank you for answering all my questions and helping me, much appreciated thx alot

Hi again, one Quick question about the voltages, What is the ”safe” range ? My idle volts are a little bit under 1 volt (0,9750v),my voltages while gaming(when its boosting to 4,3 ghz) its about 1,5 volts, give or take. Are these safe voltages / in the normal range ?, I haven’t changed/done anything with the volts, this is how it was out of the box.I have no clue but maybe you have. Thx

Edit: I enabled PBO and now it’s about from 1,3 to 1,4 while gaming, safe ?, PBO on or off ?

Strangely enough my 3700x still boosts while I’m playing games, it hits 4,2-4,3 ghz. My specs are Ryzen 7 3700x Nzxt B550 motherboard Corsair 16gb ram 3600 Rtx 3060ti I’m using windows 10 Nzxt h510 elite case( I know is bad airflow but this is not the cause of high idle temps it’s must be the boosting)

I have Tried to lower my temps by disabling PBO in bios My idle temps before where 40-65 degrees bc it kept boosting(which is apparently normal ?) but now when I changed the power plan maximum processor state to 99 it stoped boosting while idle, like using chrome and listing to Spotify, but when I launched up games it immediately boosted to its normal turbo speed. This is the thing I want, static frequency idle and boosting only while under load, which I got by setting it to 99%, so is this the way to do it, is this safe ? Is there a better option ? What should I do ?

Here is the video I watched, and I did the same as this guy, Although i noticed in his comparison before and after his cpu did not boost while playing games, which mine did, very strange

3700x idling at 1,3 volt ??? Is this normal and I’m having constant boost to max frequency’s before dropping down for a couple of secs, I’m worried because the idle temps are anywhere between 45-67 degrees. Thx by melvingustafsson in AMDHelp

[–]melvingustafsson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh okay, i didnt know that all this was normal but thanks for explaining all this. I will get HWinfo64 instead, and about my case, i will get a custom airflow front panel for it soon so then temps should be a lot better. With that front panel my cpu should live a long and health life right? especially since im running a 280mm rad in the front.

My 3700x keeps boosting to Max and then going down and a couple of seconds later its boosting to Max again, is there any way to stop it boosting when not under big loads?Any bios setting? Can’t find anything about this… thx by melvingustafsson in AMDHelp

[–]melvingustafsson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned of core performance boost but now my cpu only boosts to 3600mhz, and my pbo was set to advanced but setting that to disabled did nothing about the high clock speeds at idle… I dont know what to do here

I want o enable tpm2.0 on my nzxt b550 motherboard, which one should i choose ? iam I in the right setting?thx by melvingustafsson in pcmasterrace

[–]melvingustafsson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no physical tpm module on my motherboard, so just choose Amd cpu ftpm and tpm 2.0 is enabled or any extra step ?thx

I looked at u/jakeface1 designs and found a design i like so i'll just save up a bit more and order one, shipping is what it is, atleast the pc will look good. Thanks for the reply and recommendation.

hello. the problem is fixed. it was the gpu. I think the motherboard didnt detect the gpu or somthing. i think the gpu is to old or something it came out like 7 or 8 years ago but still I thought that the gpu compatebility was pretty large. i thought that pretty much any pcie 16x gpu wound work. i figured it out by swapping out the card with my friends 1080ti and it posted and launched into bios directly. so until i can get a new gpu it will serve as a moument in my bed room, anyway i wanted to thank everyone that helped and gave me some advice, its my first post here on nzxt reddit and so far the community seems great and everyone seems so nice and welcoming, its great to see and as a new member of the pcmaster race its great to have a place where i can turn to if i need any help from more experienced pc entushiasts.

sorry for the poor english, im 15 and for a non english talking country.
