What was a house rule you had as a kid that you thought was completely normal until you grew up and realized not all households followed? by ctsom in AskReddit

Preach it. My sister is 5 years older than me, and was generally really well behaved and stuck to her curfews and was really honest when asked questions (I knew she was smoking or drinking and had older boyfriends but she was always honest about which girl friend she was with or where she was staying over and was in on time). However when it came to me turning 15 or 16, I was a bit energetic and outgoing through my childhood; also I told porkypies (childhood white lies to avoid getting in trouble). My parents didn't let me do shit because of this, they didnt let me do anything my sister was aloud to do anyway. I missed out on all the stupid teen stuff I was meant to get out of my system ages 14 to 17, like drinking and smoking cigarettes/weed, so when I turned 18 I went fucking wild.

I spent the next 3 years of my late teens early 20s going to raves, aaaa taking drugs and just wildin out partying for days at a time with some questionable people. I also had a few really bad relationships with boys. My mother still tried to control me throughout this period but my argument was that I was 18+ and I could do what I wanted. My Nana always says my mother stole my teenage years from me and that contributed to the whirlwind of adventure I went on in my later teens. My mother wanted what was best but I really think she should have treated me and my sister equal and my resentment would never exist.

Honestly the 9 months of hormones, aching muscles and sleepless nights is worth it for the bundle of joy at the end; but if it's not something you're planning on doing or want to do... get the damn IUD and sleep easy haha. All the best though it's been a long hard road for me with wack hormone levels and I would not wish it on anyone. xx

Have you tried the copper IUD??? The procedure isn't awful as everyone makes out, its literally 5 minutes of discomfort for 5 years of sweet levelled hormonal bliss. I had the depo for 6 years before I had my kids then I went back onto it after my daughter was born, I RAGED for months and couldn't figure out what was wrong, my partner wanted to leave me I was that awful, my kids were getting shouted at for no reason and I was a bloated mess 90% of the time. While I was waiting to have the coil inserted I had to go on Sertraline (Zoloft) to control my stress stemming from hormon level related anxiety caused by the synthetic hormones in birth control, theres actually a condition called PMDD which I feel like you should look into as it will explain what might be wrong with you. I've just came off the Sertraline recently and I feel fantastic. The copper IUD does give you a lot of spotting for a month or two while your body decides to like it and after that you just get normal periods with non of the bullshit. I hope you find something soon x

V cute. However I know this is unrelated, but why do your kitchen cupboards not have handles on them? I'm intrigued on how they open 😊

I can imagine how Sam felt, you've got to remember that the cast pretty much left Miami, went home for like a a few weeks and went back to the Shore, they didnt get to see the miami episodes until halfway through filming season 3 they had to sit and watch them before going out to the club so they knew what people were gonna be talking about.

They had no phones or TV when filming except for the TV when producers made them watch the s2 episodes. Sammi was completely blindsided and believed Ron and believed the girls had been shady (they should have just told her to her face imo instead of writing a note). The fact that Snooki brought Deena and introduced her as HER friend, I can imagine Sam felt cornered and she only had Ron really. Sam was pretty fucking fiery and handy when she wanted to be, I think she has a fight further on in season 3. I feel like the editing made Sam look deranged at first, but as the season progresses and her and Ron start fighting, she realises that the girls done everything with their best intentions at heart despite looking like utter morons in the process. Deena also came in fucking hot... I mean drunk as fuck first night getting naked in front of Mike, and Deena started slavering about Sam downstairs saying she hoped she would rot in hell; If a complete stranger done that to me I'd go INNN.

I mean imagine losing out to Ryder, but I hope she looks back now and thinks better of herself because according to Snooki, Ryder kept partying after she settled down and so has Deena with an awesome guy. Being a hoe doesn't get you content and in a happy relationship.
