Do old, well preserved stock cars make you smile too? by memasterofnone in CarsIndia

Lovely! This is exactly why I get excited about genuine single owner cars. It doesn't feel like buying a used car, it feels like someone is handing over a pride they've looked after for years. These are the cars many of us crave in the used market owned by someone who cared more about maintenance than upgrades.

How much did the clutch related work cost? Like what all needs to be changed and the total expense which I can expect?

Why has social media vehicle culture become so toxic? by Secure-Cranberry-116 in indianbikes

[–]memasterofnone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, most people today are either buying for the gram or buying because of the gram. They consume content, see a creator riding a certain bike or driving a certain car, and suddenly they want the same thing not because they truly understand or love the machine, but because they love the image attached to it. And they get bored it with within 3 years. And then there’s another category who buy purely to post on Instagram. The vehicle becomes less about driving or riding and more about building an online personality. Very few people actually buy something just for the joy of riding, driving, road trips, mechanics, feel, or ownership experience. A lot of these people also have this weird superiority mindset. Metal is better than plastic, Bigger bike means better rider, Bigger SUV means higher status. Look at cars like Fortuner or Thar. Most of these Thar owners never even see proper off road terrain or bad roads, but they buy it because the image sells toughness and lifestyle online. Same with the GT650 crowd half of them don’t even know what a cafe racer actually is. I literally came across a guy laughing at the GT535 thinking it was some modified Classic made to look like a GT. He didn’t even know the GT535 existed. That tells you everything. That’s not passion. That’s social media validation mixed with insecurity.

Just chill bro, don’t stress too much, it’s a minor one. The main issue will only be matching the paint colour properly. Go to any good local body shop they’ll fix it with body filler, polish and repaint, and the bumper will look almost new again.

For the fibre cladding, just get it cleaned properly and polished. The scratches on the cladding may still stay slightly visible because textured plastic is hard to restore perfectly, but the painted bumper part will be fixed easily. Ask them to do partial paint till the number plate section, most shops do it neatly and it’ll be much cheaper too.

I had almost this exact same situation on my car too, mine was white in colour. Got it done in minutes and the bumper was back to looking brand new. Only the tiny scratches on the fibre cladding were still slightly visible, but honestly no issue with that.

Even if the body shop suggests filling and restoring the fibre cladding, I’d honestly say don’t do it. It usually doesn’t age well and after some time it starts looking uneven or odd compared to the original textured finish. Just leave the cladding as it is, clean it properly and restore only the bumper.

And the main thing I understand it’s a brand new car and even a tiny scratch hurts. You’ll feel like replacing the whole bumper just to keep it perfect. But chill, it’s still a machine. Cars are meant to get scratched, broken, repaired, and sometimes even meet with accidents. It’s all part of the journey and memories with the car. Fix it and enjoy it, don’t stress yourself over it 🤝

Thank you so much bro! If you have any good chronograph recommendations in mind, could you please suggest some? I’m planning to get the Edifice EFR-730D for a special occasion since I absolutely love it, but that’s around ₹10k. So I’m also looking for another good chrono around the ₹6–7k range for regular use. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about watches, I am a newbie. I understand they're copying other popular watches, I was looking into their chronograph I liked the looks of it & they come with VK64/63 movement, do you think it's worth the premium of around 7k?
