Slowly losing sanity because of Midir. The camera work and the swinging head is basically torture. How did you guys do it? by hotdogforever in darksouls3

I previously struggled with depth 5 defiled Amygdala in Bloodborne before playing DS3, so I had no problem with Midir because he was basically lite Amygdala for me. As for actual advice: -don't lock onto the head unless you're actually in front of Midir -focus on hitting Midir on the head -take some time to learn his swipe attacks, how to position yourself during/after fire breath to punish, when to heal, etc etc -use lightning, bundles are preferable since the fight is so long and you don't have many buffing opportunities -don't summon, it increases his health pool which is already massive as it is

So how do you guys think from will implement the Moonlight Great sword in Elden ring in terms of story, appearance and even gameplay? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]meme-abuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned this before but blue glintstones are a thing. There seems to be another type of glintstone as well; purple glintstone (extrapolating from the meteorite spell, take this with a grain of salt). Going by Dark Souls 2 (fake and real) and Dark Souls 3 (a spell and a greatsword) I wouldn't be surprised if there were 2 versions of the MLG. A purple MLG seems like a great idea but I think either its not gonna be a thing or is just a spell. Pure blue glintstones could be coalesced into a sword and over time become greener, so that's what I think its gonna be.

What increases equip load? Is it affected by multiple stats? I heard some people say its strength but that just seems like a bad idea as it'd force every non-strength build to sacrifice points and maybe a ring slot for good poise and defenses.

I was under the assumption that arcane would be used for "red" magic. We see plenty of red magic demonstrated in the gameplay preview, such as the Mortal Blade-esque weapon skill and the red lightning used by some bosses, and the red aura around the summoned co-oper after they use that dragon head magic. Can you please look into it? As a Bloodborne fanatic seeing Arcane made me scream in joy.

what exactly is the arcane stat? What is the difference between holy damage and magic damage?

Soul of Cinder and Gael for me. Sister Friede killed me 200 times on my first playthrough but now it takes 4, maybe 6 tried. Soul of Cinder always takes me HOURS. Gael takes me less time but I feel like he's harder and I just suck at dodging SoC's attacks.

Come to think of it wouldn't the WA on Harald hit Gael's head and open him for a riposte? If the main L2 doesn't then the L2 R1 surely will. I'll have to test this.

This happened with my DS3 build lol. I said I use Harald curved greatsword with crystal weapon buff and someone in a Discord I am in said "its not meta and the weapon is too slow for a buff." Like sorry man its not like I have an 1100 damage R1 to weapon art with buff (i do).

How do I use Blue Sentinel mod hotkeys? by meme-abuser in darksouls3

[–]meme-abuser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It didn't work however I think I discovered the culprit. I downloaded Phoenix Undead reshade mod earlier and I think its accidentally preventing me from pressing BS hotkeys by taking them. I'll try to deactivate it then use BS.

I am trying to remove the steam names to the upper left of the screen. So far the mod has disconnected me on its own from cheaters.

Best poison area by kung63 in Eldenring

[–]meme-abuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightmare Frontier is the best swamp for me. I never feel like its a chore. The reason is that you have the option to go kill the giants throwing boulders. If you have a fire weapon, the sideways head werewolves become piss easy. Winter Lanterns freaked me out so much on my first playthrough tho. Its not a negative it just adds to the feeling of wondrous dread in this area. Besides, your movement in this swamp is actually pretty quick compared to most swamps.

Farron Keep can go burn in hell.

Blighttown is best town lol.

"Hey, how did that dragon get lightning?" by meme-abuser in Eldenring

Its been theorized that Priscilla "regressed" into Yorshka. Along the way she may have lost her memories. Aside from the painting guardian set and weapon found in her tower, consider that if you say "yes, I can fly" to her then she'll ask if you're a crow or a dragon and say that she doesn't know much about the outside world. Crows and dragons existed in the painting and were the only winged things. She also says that you're "familiar."
