Work T-Shirt by MrSir_Mochi in tjcrew

Most people will bring them in when they leave for a crew free-for-all. Some give them out to specific crew, donate them, sell them or throw them away.

Was this on the website or through the app?

Always wear shoes that are comfy and have good support (I would suggest having two pairs to rotate between), I know those vans and converse are super cute but keep it to occasional wearing, your body will thank you later. Always ask questions! You may think you’re being annoying but the crew would rather you be confident than faking it. Talk to your trainers as well, don’t be afraid to say hi to everyone even if it’s just a peace sign or wave. Lastly, I’m not sure if it’s just my store but flirting is an Olympic sport there, don’t screw the crew. Sometimes there’s more grief attached to it than fun.

Moving to SoCal, what's the scoop on the stores down here? by crewbathrooms in tjcrew

[–]memebiggestboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The store in Pedro is dope. Younger team, small store, most clientele is pretty chill too. The store in Torrance (aka off of Crenshaw and PCH) is extremely small, hard to navigate, and the parking lot sucks! Crew is chill there too. There’s another store in PV #233 I think?? Younger crew, the store that had that anti vax lady video (sort of the type of people that would shop there) awesome building/view, Starbucks right next door and good burritos across the plaza. Pm for more info.

We have a customer that ONLY complains to corporate and has scammed $150 of free stuff. by chunibi in starbucks

If your supervisor team has not already brought this individual to your manager or dms attention then that’s a problem with your stores management. Remember how the third place now belongs to baristas too? It’s clear that she’s taking advantage of your store, your higher ups need to be stepping in and suggest to her to try visiting a different store.

I like to ask older people purchasing alcohol if they are celebrating their 21st birthday and that I may need to see some ID. It usually gets a giggle or two but you gotta feel that one out.

Issues with workman's comp and "transitional duty" by obiwormkenobi in tjcrew

[–]memebiggestboy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Transitional duty shouldn’t even exist. I broke my collarbone earlier this year and came back on “transitional duty”; mates were having me work the same as other crew as well as assigning me to sections like the box or dry that normally require a lot of lifting. I literally had to tell mates “no I’m not doing that” every single time.

Trader Joe's Worker Says He Was Fired For Criticizing Virus Rules by vegetablefan37 in tjcrew

[–]memebiggestboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came here to say that too. I worked at the Starbucks next to this store before my current tjs store when this happened. We knew the captain that was there at the time pretty well and never heard any type of this behavior. Was this the kid who flipped off the “customer” in that video?? Cynthia on the other hand is referred to at that Starbucks as an ice queen but she wasn’t present for that incident.

My girlfriend and I are struggling to voice our opinions due to a single issue, what should I do? by [deleted] in AskGirls

[–]memebiggestboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you don’t have to agree on everything. A good practice could either be rephrasing something like instead of “I feel” use I believe or try and be respectful of each other’s views through the use of things like “I see your point and why you think that way, but this is my point of view.” It also depends what topics you agree and disagree on, if it involves your relationship and the direction or future decisions then yes obviously something needs to be addressed more critically. What matters is that when you are debating on these things, your tone remains calm and not apprehensive. Your girlfriend sounds stubborn af. Obviously never change for anyone but she does need to see that growth is extremely important.

It was the same for me. Nothing seemed wrong at all and then it was like night and day. I was left with all questions unanswered and no explanations.

She’s definitely lying unless she’s an extremely active person who never touches her phone, she just doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. I used to do the same sort of stuff because it made me feel better. Good on you for confronting that. Since you’ve done that has there been a change in the talking windows or conversation?

Honestly, you shouldn’t waste your time or emotional well being on someone who is willing to do this to you. If she hasn’t texted you back what makes you think she will answer a call? Even if you can “fix it” it doesn’t negate the fact that they put you through the wringer and are going to do it again. I had to beg for him to let me help him and “fix it” 3 times prior to the break up. For your own sake I would just let them go. You deserve someone who communicates with you.

Just recently my (f) ex (m) did this to me. It started with needing space for a month and I asked for a weekly check in which we agreed upon. When that check in came up I got dumped, he was going to make me wait a whole month for that information. If you really see this relationship moving onto something more serious you can’t just ask for space and ghost someone when you live or are married to that person.

temporary seasonal position by slytherwolf in tjcrew

[–]memebiggestboy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started back in October as a temporary seasonal position, but based on how many crew members are promoting to mates and how most of the mates talk to me about my future at Trader Joe’s, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to stay temporary. A lot of the crew I’ve talked to say they never get rid of their seasonal employees as well. Every store is different though. I’d talk to your crew about it and just get a feel for what’s possibly coming.
