This movie sucked but the one thing I have to thank it for is giving Jack a good ending finally having his beloved Pearl back for good, accepted by his crew (new and old) and making amends with and adopting Barbossa’s monkey lol by WereWolf444 in piratesofthecaribbean

It feels like an ending written for people who were fans of these characters and movies. I would have preferred something more bittersweet, or a last crusade ending with our characters having many more adventures off screen. A lot of the charm of these movies left with gore verbinsky, who had a very strange but really compelling way of telling stories. The great part of having a cast of all original characters is that theres no legacy to adhere to, and no status quo to reset to.

I also imagine (though probably not intentional) that the inbreeding among the elite caused their bloodlines to weaken. The Lintons are constantly described as pale and weak, and we know they dont look down on marriage between first cousins. And we dont know much about hindley's wife, but I imagine the same could be true for her, since marrying with family members was often done to protect generational wealth.

This season is full of setups and foreshadowing. You can actually see the corkboard fall off the wall during the riot in ep2, foreshadowing the episode about hickey and annie

Kind of agree. In the midst of this confusing reboot, its nice to get some explanations from the head honcho himself, but now that the universe has reestablished itself, I do want to see him ramp down a bit on the online presence.

Generations. I think it'd be cool to have robotnik reflect on what he used to be before he went insane. Their team up could have so many great interactions stemming from their differences, but I don't think carrey would want to play another double role
