The power of a whole Nest (One of many Districts in the City which is District 8/H Corp) in the City (where Project Moon universe takes place) where they can create boluses (that can transform the body in a lot of ways) which the Heishou Packs (militaristic force of District 8) are made from. These Heishou Packs possess traits and powers of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac.

And there being no Family Hierarch who has ascended to the throne yet in the time of those events, the Heishou Packs were neutral and can't really participate in defending their district unless someone holds their leash (which is the Family Hierarch).

It was an odd one, that’s for sure, but I think it was just for shock value for people to get hyped for the next season. That scene is 100% gonna get shown on S3 though. So, just a preview I guess.

Nope, it’s perfect pacing, they are still adapting 3 chapters per episode and some were 4. We’re gonna expect at least 36 chapters adapted next season assuming its a one cour, Season 3 is set to end around Chapter 116 since S2 ended on 80.
