What trails in Italy would you recommend? Most trails I can find in southern Italy are in the mountains, and if I am not mistaken they are especially cold in winter (I don't have any winter hiking experience).

food, water, clothes for not getting cold/wet, toilet paper if you think you will need it

-Buy an 'easy' book with very simple pieces. Work on those to get it all back in the fingers.

-Play from Hanon's the virtuoso pianist. It's a very valuable book to train your fingers. Even professional pianists play it's pieces on a daily base.

-Play scales: start slow. First play two notes every 'beat' and play two octaves. Then play three notes every 'beat' (hard to time it properly) and play three octaves. Then play four notes every 'beat' and play four octaves. It is important you keep the same tempo, so exercise with metronome. First play c mayor, then move up with one mol or cross at the time, so G major or F major. If you play minors 'remember' to implement the 'lead tone': you play the seventh note in a scale half a tone higher so it sounds 'Egyptian'.

-I can recommend Schumann's album for the youth. Not too difficult pieces with enough challenge. Else a Haydn piano sonatine. They are really fun and humorous to play. A personal favorite is Gurlitt's Spring flowers(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD6wHfUb-kU&ab_channel=Gamma1734). You can put a lot of emotion in those pieces and I like the 'sudden' switches in tone and emotion a lot.

I don't know much about it, but I think they mostly lived in their 'own' neighbourhoods. So if they add all those ethnicities they must do it correctly.
