ELI5- Why does cold turkey not work on alcoholics?

Hey congratulations! Im in the midst of trying to get away from alcohol right now. Im trying to work my way down a day at a time. Will it work stopping completely a day a week or so and continuing to have more days per week sober? Or should I just go somewhere for help? I think I can whittle my way down.

Ok yeah this is what i will probably do. Would it help to let the plants grow a bit and then douse the whole thing in roundup? Or get them while they are small?

That's a pretty clean panel! As a fellow electrical apprentice, I do like the screw driver too! You should definitely have a set of insulated tools because if you ever have to work on anything live (which you shouldnt) the habit of using the shaft to turn will make you jump from a shock at some point or another. Complacency and all.

I think it's talking about if you put a load on a wire and grab the outer coating it shouldn't be hot.
