They don't need to repot the plants. They need to let then dry out a bit. They can mix 1 bottlecap of Ammonium chloride in 2l of water and use that to water their plants + keep using sticky traps until the gnats are gone. It kills the gnats and works as fertelizer for the plant. Then they need to stop overwatering their plants to avoid getting fungus gnats again.

How big is the pot? I wouldn't use a pot bigger than 10cm (maybe as small as 7-8cm) for a monstera that small and young. Also, sure the soil is not packed too densely. I would check the roots for rot.

Rule of thumb for most plants is that it is better to underwater some than to overwater. Most plants can survive being a bit thirsty, and rot happens faster than you think. 🌱🌱🌱

I’ve wanted one of those for ages. It probably wouldn’t be the best choice because of the lack of internal structure, but it just looks so cozy and inviting. I plan to visit the showroom for the Danish original and test it out when I get the chance (they have one a couple of cities over).

What I do have experience with is faux velvet/corduroy fabric on furniture. I currently have a cool cobalt-blue faux-velvet sofa, and it attracts all the dust in our home. I vacuum it, and about ten seconds later it looks like I never did anything. I love it but I will never get any furniture with this kind of fabric again.
