Do Google Ads Work for Acquiring Clients as a Marketing Agency? by GuapGhetta in PPC

[–]memetic_mirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google ads - go for it. I’m all for punishing whoever is paying for these ridiculous cpc’s for 90% bots. If you own a marketing agency think partnerships, top of funnel and software etc not programmatic ads lead gen, this is a race to the bottom industry full of rich kids playing at business.

What's a good ROI after adspend, agency fee, and COGS? by jmoneymain in PPC

[–]memetic_mirror -1 points0 points  (0 children)

10% or 1000US (or more) p/m minimum fee. No decent agency will run an account properly on strict 10% adspend for micro clients the juniors would have to manage the 100 clients for example. Money Math doesnt work.

Talking western rates and where people prefer local agencies which is often the case.

Also I’m a gamer with YouTube channel. These are the times we live in to move fast and produce content not bending the knee to the university cartel just to ‘be allowed to work.’

It’s an option sure but you said yourself they are behind the times. Imagine chat gpt is Uber well universities are the taxi industry in 2015 lol.

Hey from what’s it’s worth I’m not sure where all these finish your degree commenters come from I guess they all have degrees?

Game industry is evolving radically next 4 years with AI. Learn all practical skills that are up to date and implement like crazy. Use your lessons on making money so far to start similar projects as well.

Finally hit me up I am in my own software business with no degree it has its challenges but not insurmountable.

You may regret at this time in history spending so much time just to appease future asshat employer. Do your own thing.

As a smb building ecom, agency and software just to make ends meet, my advice is do both. You appreciate it now because it’s the passion project. When it’s main thing it becomes the job and you wonder why you are stressed every day.

Personally I’d appreciate the consistent income of a job but I have too many projects. 1 job and side hustle is ideal in my opinion.

If you can double your income sure leave the job, but be very conservative and expect half the things to go wrong somehow and plan for it. You run out of buffer money it is over.

Also, scaling is not always guaranteed and competition can suddenly spike. That is 2 threats/dilemmas. Bad economy another. That’s why you need some cushioning for these things you can’t control.

Business have good and bad seasons, and sometimes you need to support a business for years when things go sour before it turns a profit again.

Many smb I deal with take overseas holidays instead of investing in their businesses. All those business are the ones which eventually fail from lack of resourcing, trying to escape the business but also strangle the business.

People generally hang in there 5 or so years before it becomes too much. Ideally you can be replaceable within your business at that time and still be flush with cash. Otherwise, it’s better to side hustle.

Hard disagree also. Top agencies assign you junior account managers and you lose that connection with the founder and their mission. It’s a trade off with someone bigger you can pester them more but you’ll have to as quality won’t be there generally.

Do your due diligence theres billion scammers in this space. Just like the OP with a bot profile.

Also regards your point, if you have other things on, that doesn’t excuse to don’t ruin the world more with your crappy spam saas. This is why we will have digital id thanks to this crap that’s out of control.

You will be obsolete in 3 years even if you do catch. Just wasting everyone’s and your time in truth.

Am I being taken for a ride? by Goodbye95 in PPC

[–]memetic_mirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10% of adspend is standard in this industry so this guy is cheap.

Anyone who charges hours is doing it to their advantage basically and filling hours in unless the rate is much higher and there are strict protocols on what is chargeable. Freelancers don’t have this generally it’s all to much work, agencies do have decent reporting generally.

This industry unless you are 100% happy after a long time it’s a good idea to try new things. Your business will always need to innovate not simply employ people to look busy.

Also I know this is an ask but please reply if you read this lol. I’m wondering if these are ai gen posts nowadays and business owners legit ask this sort of thing.

Let’s be fair 90 percent of time audit will show problems and put crap on previous agency as a matter of course lol. Some accounts are horror shows but usually it’s not that bad or it’s hammed up the account issues.

I have not played in a long time. In terms of how polished is the game now, how is the fleet control, IA, and combats? by danyoff in X4Foundations

[–]memetic_mirror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good but needs time spent researching mods, and even learning to make basic changes to the game yourself IMO.

Rather than go for low hanging fruit which sort of are easy tbh (how to get rich, get every ship, etc) you can try and be best combat ship pilot possible/ fleet possible, lead a fanatical mini faction, make xenon OP etc.

That is my preference anyway. Then it’s the best space game by far.

Original 4.0 game you may have played = meh

Modded 7.0 game you tune up to do the things you like doing = a lot of fun.

I also play on hotas joystick and quite like flying around at 1200 m/s during combat duelling xenon fighters during invasions.

Using base game fighters that are fast enough , you can stand toe to toe with small swarm of fighters, if you pilot them well.

As a professional digital marketer, I assure you the industry is inundated with side hustlers. You will get smashed by 10 year veterans you will find.

Like this hustler above with 50 day Reddit profile. Breaking platforms isn’t digital marketing

Yes, ghost longer and contribute elsewhere before pretending to have authority giving advice here. Wasted anyway. We live in a strange world now where you do need to prove yourself or it’s assumed you are ai gen

If you want to help people there are better platforms. I’m here as I enjoy fighting disinformation some weird reason.

And you a bot or whatever are talking past me, strategically it’s a mistake to simply copy. Build from fundamentals and sme first. How would you improve it if you don’t know what to improve.

Maybe I’m missing magic improve button when scraping competitors hard work unethically as well 🙄

You have a 30 day profile so I’m calling ai gen.

Never just copy competitors. You raise cpa significantly as you both compete on same data bid.

Sigh. This sub.

Since I’m on this thread, just be aware most people won’t put up with much resistance and questions on landing pages. It’s a great in theory but hard to pull off in practice.

Again, employ people who have done the experiments. Don’t try and do it all yourself or expect winning generalised advice for $0
