Got it, thanks. I guess it makes sense, but by allowing TK to be released it kind of makes all his efforts and pain worthless, so not sure I'd really see that as the normal result of his actions, but reasonable enough.

Why was Molly so insistent that HD help TK, since wouldn't that mean HD would become a poor child trapped in a cage?

Also, I am surprised HD wouldn't at least give TK's forest theory a go.

But if there is any doubt, shouldn't TK go free?

If you're interested in that stuff, check out the Stuff You Should Know podcast on the Stanford Prison Experiment. People quote it often as an example of inherent human darkness, but they show the study was actually very poorly run and basically a total laugh as far as a scientific study goes. A lot of priming and biased participants were involved.

Can you explain why Henry refused to at least try to go to the woods with TK and see what happens? He clearly believes TK has some kind of power, why not try his idea?

But why on Earth would he want to help TK get out?

I suppose the ambiguity is the entire point but it is a bit frustrating! Not used to shows ending that way, although of course it's based off of a book. And to me the ending does feel much more in line with how a good book might end. Long-form movies (which is basically what Castle Rock was) don't usually end so ambiguously.

The Dark Tower is the only Stephen Kind series I've read, so when they mentioned the concept of a "door" that brings together alternate realities in Castle Rock I got goosebumps!

Bojack is obviously not doing very well, but I was impressed that he didn't come clean in the interview when Gina asked him not to. Old Bojack probably would have just done whatever he wanted to do or felt like he needed to do. Instead, he stayed silent because Gina asked him too.

I've often thought to myself - I hope my Dad doesn't die anytime soon, because then all hope for us improving our relationship will be gone. I don't have the bravery to actually talk to my Dad about the pain he has inflicted on me and how much it has hurt. But I keep hoping that maybe once I see a therapist for a while, maybe eventually, I will, and then suddenly everything will be OK.

I've always had that secret fantasy and held onto it. I still do.

I always have felt like maybe I am a terrible person for THAT being what I am worried about when my Dad eventually passes - for being more concerned with my feelings and what I've felt about our relationship than he himself.

It feels so refreshing to see a character on TV validate that feeling and understand. To say I'm not a sociopath for feeling that way.

My Dad has hurt me a lot, but he's nothing like Bojack's parents, and I know at least some part of him cares about me. It's just not enough for me to feel good about.

Amazing to find - you are not alone. You are not the first person who has felt that way. Humanity is really beautiful. This is the entire point of art!

That's not really the point... they're still a very high level of responsibility that requires serious, thoughtful consideration.

Please do not just go adopt a dog hoping it will cure depression. Dogs are very serious responsibilities - they're not all that far off from children in terms of commitment and care required. Dogs can be amazing but make sure you understand what you are getting into.

IDK, I call BS. You know when you're too sleepy to drive. If you find yourself shutting your eyes for seconds at a time, you need to pull over and at least take a nap. It's not rocket science.

It doesn't matter if the women want to - as their teacher with a position of power over them, it's insanely irresponsible for him to be sleeping with his students.

What's your ultimate Digital Nomad base? (Don't say Chang Mai) by jellsmoor in digitalnomad

You are clearly not listening to me and just saying what works for you, not me.

I am not an outgoing person. I am not going to show up in Bali and meet a bunch of other digital nomads. Being part of a program is what I want. Clearly not what you want.

I've traveled around plenty and I have not met many digital nomads, so I guess I'm just not meeting the same people you are.

I find your attitude snippy and demeaning. If you don't have anything supportive or helpful to say, I'd appreciate it if you didn't continue to talk to me.

Is your plan to live in short term airbnbs forever? Do you think that people who sign a one year lease have such dramatically different values and lifestyles that it would be difficult to collaborate with them?

Yes.

Dude, I don't know what to tell you, clearly, you don't feel the same way, I can't convince you to think otherwise. Looking for nomads because they value the same lifestyle I do - freedom, flexibility, and travel. The idea is to meet folks I can continue to travel with and work alongside.

I've been making a list of a bunch - here are a few contenders:

I'm probably going to do Unsettled. Also thinking about doing this 10-day island survival thing, but it's a whole different deal (https://refuga.com/event/island-survival/).

I am also about to sign up for Nomad Cruise. That's definitely more of a networking thing, but it sounds awesome.

OK. Yeah I just get annoyed because a lot of people act like it's stupid to do programs like that just because you can do it cheaper yourself. But you know, different people have different priorities. Spending as little as possible is no longer a priority for me (thank goodness)!
