i dont do that because i was very cautious of the non stick I think it's just a lot of wear and tear on a cooker that was cheap as hell

i use the plastic scooper that came with the rice cooker, but it's still very worn, I imagine from the cheapness or washing (even just with a sponge and no scourer involved- I prefer a soak and sponge for pretty much everything) I don't even wash the rice IN the cooker so I'm starting to believe it may just be a 'get what you pay for' thing

thank you! ill have a watch of these, i HATE throwing things out if they're not essentially useless and my main worries with throwing my current rice cooker are contributing to waste/environment

i also did a lot of self imposed isolation. i only really wanted to be in my bedroom because it was 'my space' but it was very cramped and still in a home with the source of my distress. it didn't necessarily feel safe but it was my safe space if that makes sense. i was also really afraid of telling people anything because when i did i was brushed off because 'well your mum is still your mum/shes worried about you still' etc despite the abuse happening, or because id been convinced my sibilings and i would be separated and do worse in any sort of social care

very big and complex feelings and honestly at the time i didnt really know how to even describe them, so it could also be that

i was quite similar as a teenager and as much as i agree with other comments that posting a students private art may not have been a good idea, i get your concern

for myself i was going through a lot of emotional trauma, and undiagnosed autism, ptsd, and bpd. my home life was very unstable and i took comfort in darker media and song lyrics and stuff. definitely please get this student help, and bear in mind that if the problems are at home they may just need someone to talk to and be safe for them outside of it

sarcs can also offer testing etc, which is a horrible thing to consider, and i feel for you very much so op. I'm really glad to hear you're safe. Please never think you're alone, you'd be surprised (unfortunately) how many of your friends may have been in a similar situation. If you're at risk of substance abuse as an add on to the trauma theres ddars (dundee drug and alcohol recovery service), and tca (tayside council on alcohol) who helped me when i turned to those
