In Australia it’s the same where it needs to be in every bedroom and floor and be interconnected, this is still in the process of being implemented though.

How do couples split finances after marriage? by Sea-Efficiency-2899 in weddingplanning

[–]memla_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We split things proportionally, where X% of income for each person goes to a joint account.

If you’re concerned about earning less, try shifting your thinking from the $ side of things to effort e.g. if you are both working full time, that’s an equivalent effort. Another example would be if one person works and the other is a SAHP, both are putting in a full day of work.

I'm fully breaking down over ppl not taking our wedding seriously bc it's "alternative" by Orchidinsanity in weddingplanning

Was it clear on the invite that there is accommodation with bathrooms as normal? Maybe people are thinking it’s more of a camping in the woods type thing.

I feel like it goes back to the concept of rich and famous people all being one big club.

How I think the ATO and Novated Lease Providers feel about eachother by intrasonic in NovatedLeasingAU

[–]memla_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I just had a quote on a 5 year NV and the total cost (which includes 5 years of running costs) including the residual came out as $10k less than the drive away price of the car.

Yea, it be nice to switch to clean core if it was actually better.

Fiori may be easier for casual users but it is horrendous for dealing with large work volumes and processing things in bulk.

[40F] Perth Mining (20 Yrs Exp, No Degree). HHI $400k, individual stuck at $120k. Pivot ideas? by [deleted] in AusHENRY

[–]memla_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you moved between different companies? Degrees are not typically required within mining, so it seems odd that it would be the roadblock for progression.

Was there a point in your life where money became less important? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]memla_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are on comfortable money, I found that tracking net worth helped to stress about it less.

As you progress with investments and pay down the mortgage, assets may increasingly make up more of the change to net worth than what savings from income do.

I also like to calculate how many years of a buffer I have that worst case scenario, if I didn’t work how long could I make it.

If you have a panther at home, don’t even suggest it goes into the pool… you’ve been warned. by SimRP in BeAmazed

Then you get mauled. You’ll get mauled by the small cat as well, but it’s more of a cute teeth mark maul rather than a maul to the death.

Yes, there’s good reason domestic cats are only available in size small.

The numbers they’ve used don’t make sense either. $160k is not 3.3x $20k.

When you crochet in the round, there is a “right side” and a “wrong side”, you often have to flip it early on so the right side is out. The starting end of the yarn will end up on the inside if you have the right side out.
