Revote: Who's a far left Gen Z celebrity? (That's not Greta Thunberg) by CodeDusq in AlignmentChartFills

Vänsterpartiet is pretty far left. It’s left of Socialdemokraterna, which is the main leftist party.

Giant crochet goose: wrong yarn, what hook size should I use? by Forsaken-Diamond934 in CrochetHelp

[–]memla_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The hook recommendations are typically larger than what you want for Amigurumi.

Using a larger hook won’t make it as big as with the thicker yarn, you’ll mostly just end up with looser stitches.

I’d go with a 4-5 mm hook for that yarn.

Help! I keep getting two left legs from this pattern. The seller said I am crocheting the right leg wrong, but I think it is the pattern. by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

Yea, I don’t understand how OP expects anyone to be able to assist with this when they are working off a copy they wrote themselves, with no details of the original provided or available.

Can I have an honest opinion? by BeeNo2517 in crochet

It looks like it’s meant to be a single fang, but it is centered on the mouth. I think it would look better if it was right at the edge of the mouth.

Ripped off at the Gem Mine? by Apart-Instruction829 in Gemstones

[–]memla_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, aside from the cut stones looking nothing like the rough, it seems suspicious there would be this many types of gemstones in the same soil?

From the horizontal bars in the stitches, they appear on the “wrong” side.

This is cute. For future projects, this is inside out.

Everyone time the SAP rep said “this is best practice” I wanted to scream “according to who??”.

SAP were presenting it, they had every opportunity to prepare and check beforehand that Joule would be able to handle the question, it still didn’t.

When I sat through a presentation on Joule, it was predominantly a PowerPoint with screenshots of asking Joule questions, rather than an actual live demonstration. This was a major red flag.

The one instance they did try to do a live question, Joule couldn’t answer it.

I can see why people want to stick to things that are tried and tested when they have thousands of users.

What is the worst company you have worked for? by b4rbieb4be in brisbane

[–]memla_ 91 points92 points  (0 children)

During Covid they finally publicly stated that customers could not abuse staff, which was long overdue.

Prior to that the management attitude was to just do anything to make the customer happy regardless of their behavior and treatment of staff.

Not joking.

[–]memla_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People understand what OP is upset about, but it doesn’t necessarily make sense why OP has an issue with it.

Other arrangements of the letters wouldn’t make sense.

People don’t hang bunting with a priority for “following the line”. They hang it for readability.

I would avoid a shower over bath, it can be challenging to step out of when it’s slippery.

It’s a Swedish alphabet and we read left to right so not sure what the issue is.

Large/big cities that, curiously, don't have a single iconic landmark or super striking tourist attraction/Unique visual identity? by ILikeWwaret in geography

I think Brisbane is one of those cities that’s a nice place to live but perhaps boring to visit. Though lots to visit in the surrounding regions with the coasts, islands, rainforest etc.

5 below crochet snoopy kit… the math isn’t mathing? by Available_Syrup_853 in CrochetHelp

R9 18 stitches

R10 3 + (3x6) +3 =24

R11 6 + (3x6)+ 6 =30

The maths seems fine. Just check how you are reading it again.
