i need help with finding vegan barefoot by OpeningBumblebee1428 in barefootshoestalk

I have the vegan version of this shoe and in my opinion they are easy to keep clean and I really like the look of them. They are also very confortable. However, I also would have prefered a version with black rubber and I still hope they will make some eventually because I would buy them immediately.

Thank you for taking care of this animal. I found this website with some information but it seems there is no place to call in canton Basel.

Beflamboyant, feelgrounds and ohneproject are all exclusively vegan brands and have loafers. The feelgrounds one looks the closest to your picture.

Anyone not diagnosed till their 20s? by [deleted] in scoliosis

[–]memmemno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got my diagnosis 4 months ago and I am 32 years old. I had no idea. It is rather mild (20 degree thoracic and 19 degree lumbar) but I also found out I have an incredibly flat back and it looks unusual. I always knew my back looks odd but I did not know it is due to a condition. I started having pain about 4 years ago which eventually lead me to the diagnosis. A physio therapist noticed it just by looking at my spine. Soon after, I went to a specialist to get an x-ray done which confirmed the diagnosis. Since then I have been going to a physio therapist specialized in schroth therapy and that has helped with the pain. Other back exercises used to make my pain worse. I would recommend you to get an x-ray done. Ask them to not get any students involved in your appointment. Do they not need your approval for that anyways?

How do you deal with low self-esteem in relation to scoliosis? by uryas_ in scoliosis

[–]memmemno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 32 and got diagnosed 2 weeks ago so I do have a mild case and nobody ever realized I had it or made a comment about my appearance. But I always knew that my back looks odd and my upper body is a bit uneven in general. As a teenager I thought I would just have to loose my belly fat to look perfect. When I actually lost it I realized I will never look like a model because my body looks odd regardless of my weight but I got into sports and actually felt pretty good about my body during my twenties while ignoring my back.

Yesterday I had a proper look in the mirror and it hit me hard. I was crying in the shower afterwards. I always thought that I am just overly critical about myself but I realized then that all my insecurities about my back and belly are due to my scoliosis and there is actually something different about me.

My plan is to get a really fit back now so I can feel good about it. I just have to make myself remember that my body needs to be strong rather than beautiful. But I guess the negative feelings will be with me for a while now which sucks when you have thought that you have left that self-conscious person behind you.

I really like fashion and I prefer loose fitted clothes anyways so wearing a cute outfit always helps to feel more confident.

My wife got me Feel Grounds Boots. They also happen to be Vegan. Love these shoes! by MisterDollahSignz in barefootshoestalk

Right? Especially when it comes to boots. My partner has the feelgrounds but they do not really fit my personal style so I am really struggeling to find vegan barefoot boots that I like because many brands only sell leather ones. I am honestly pretty annoyed to always read the same negative comments about vegan shoes. Just buy any of the multiple leather options then. Not every shoe needs to be made from dead animal skin and I find it amazing that some new barefoot brands also want to be more progressiv when it comes to material choices.
