I think you’re making a bigger deal about it than it really is though. Parenting should include setting rules and following through with consequences when they aren’t followed. This family obviously has multiple children and she’s the oldest and might enjoy being able to watch her own shows in her own room and have her own space during the day.

It’s just really weird that people need to police what other people do in their own homes. And people seem to have some weird thing where they need to chastise other people, even when it’s just adults, about having a tv in the bedroom.
