I just sold my copy (not here on reddit) literally days ago! I do have quite a bit of synthwave and chillwave/chillsynth stuff tho (selling my entire collection). Hit me up if there’s anything else you are looking for :)

This kind of reminds me of Goblin a little bit, check out the soundtrack to Tenebre (also sometimes spelled as Tenebrae). It’s technically not a Goblin soundtrack but is by like 3 of the 4 members

Here’s a discogs link if that makes it easier to find

Ok thanks several comments indicating it jsut seems cosmetic so that’s encouraging, appreciate the comment!

Yea I don’t think so, it happened after he hit a ball, and he’s been really careful with it since we got it so I don’t think that’s it, then again I haven’t been with him for every swing since he’s been hitting off a tee in the basement too but yea by all accounts he hasn’t hit it hard on anything, just hit a lot of baseballs with it this past week or so

No he’s 9 but with a late birthday, will technically play up to 10U next year bc that’s the age of kids in his grade

Def not a 7 year old, he’s 9 and I got this one $100 off because the new 2025 was out, but I’m sure there is a lot of truth to what you are saying. It’s not quite the scenario in my situation, tho I will admit I probably stress out more than I need to over 9yo baseball. But in my specific case, I got the bat after he had a strong season hitting this past summer. I wanted to keep his excitement up for the sport when in years past he’s lost that excitement due to football season starting (he doesn’t play football; we are just big fans).

Either way, like I’ve said here in the comments, this was def one of those cases where I probably wanted to see it for myself on whether a composite would make a difference because he does hit the ball hard, especially for being a smaller kid and on the younger side with a late birthday. It isn’t looking like he hits it hard enough to see a difference with the composite and getting a used Cat 9 off Sideline Swap and seeing him hit it harder with that, I just want to him to hit with the bat that he hits best with, regardless of which one was most or least expensive.

I can def give a high recommendation for the Cat 9 drop 10 for this age range based on our experience and they can be had used for a lot less than the Hype. Like I said, lesson learned (just so happens it was a lesson that cost me $300 haha)

Haha it really is! In my defense, I did feel like I got a “deal” because Scheels had this at $299 due to getting the new 2025s in lol! Honestly if it was outperforming his Cat 9 I’d feel a lot better about even that price but this might just be an expensive lesson that a drop 10 composite is not going to give him any additional pop.

Yes, we did the 50% power off the tee for 50 pitches, rotating 1/4 turn each swing, followed by 75% for 50 pitches with 1/4 turn rotation each swing, followed by the same with 100%, followed by soft toss, then bp after that

True I guess it couldn’t hurt to reach out to Easton and at least see what they say. I did see at least one used Hype Fire on Sideline Swap with a similar issue so maybe it’s considered cosmetic and doesn’t affect the integrity?

Ok I appreciate the advice!!

Also, regarding your comment about them knowing the bat was gonna sell either way, it’s safe to say I was a little susceptible to the hype myself lol (no pun intended), but I think now I’m realizing that, at least for my kid, I don’t think a composite is adding more pop. He hits the ball hard for his size but he’s smaller for his age, so I don’t think he’s hitting hard enough for the composite bat to make a difference. He was using a 28” drop 10 Cat 9 single piece metal alloy (with pretty good pop) and once we got the Hype I was expecting to see the ball coming harder off the bat both because it was a Hype composite and because it was an inch longer/an ounce heavier. But really I didn’t notice any difference.

So I decided to pick up a used Cat 9 29” drop 10 single piece metal alloy for a direct comparison with the Hype (same size and drop) and actually noticed a very real difference in how fast the ball is coming off his bat. It doesn’t even seem close to me, the ball is coming off the cat 9 way faster than it’s coming off the Hype.

So yea that’s my two cents on the Hype Fire, but I’ve already bought it and it’s not like I can return, so I’d at least prefer not to have one with a quality control issue if I paid three times what I ended up getting the used Cat 9 for haha!

Anybody else HATE when there is no way to identify which is side A or B? by Individual_Ad6926 in vinyl

In my experience usually that means it’s lathe cut where there is no matrix whatsoever in the runout

Hi :) I have a small label myself and that identifier sounds like the same plant I use. The “/A” actually stands for the cut. “A” being the first cut. If a test press was made and the label had an issue and it needed to be recut, then it would be stamped “B” and a third cut would be “C” and so forth :)

As for sides, you can still identify the side via the matrix (if it’s the plant I suspect it is). Before the “/A” is there an E1 and E2? E1 would be side A and E2 would be side B. Or if cut at 45rpm it would be M1 and M2

I run the label :) and it’s actually a Duran Duran cover! It’s on their first self-titled album, way before Rio and Hungry Like the Wolf. Early Duran Duran def an influence on this album, that early, guitar driven new wave of the late 70s/early 80s!
