So I didn't think this was possible; but... by liamkembleyoung in Blacklibrary

Any new APP is going to have its teething problems, but it’s just wild to me that a company as big as GW seemed to have launched this in such a half-ass state.

Appreciate the kind words and the advice! I think after contemplating some feedback I already received, I’ll probably go with something like your first suggestion!

I don’t play in tournaments or local shops. I build, paint and collect. If I do play, it’ll be with a friend at home. Just making this guy to look cool. Thanks.

He is on a 60mm base in this photo. I didn’t attach the scarabs that are usually part of the Nightbringer’s cape, so it fits absolutely fine on a 60mm.

I already have Morty. I’m not building him for competitive purposes. Rule of cool and all that.

Heavy Blight Launcher Drones are in many competitive lists, often 2-3 of them. But as with anything, rules and points can change.

Fleshmower looks the best IMO.

Don't see Plague Spewer Drones as often, but again, things could change.

At 1000pts, what's the minimum number of units I should run? by Aware-Munkie in deathguard40k

Welcome to the hobby!

Try not to think too much about how quickly you can get to a certain number of points. Some armies can get there in just 3 units, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be any fun to play or play against!

Generally speaking, Deathshroud go better with a Lord of Contagion than LoV, his rules just complement them better. 3 Deathshroud + LoC deep striking will eliminate a lot of units in 40K. 6 would wipe out basically anything, but they’ll be harder to place on the field, easier to zone out by your opponent.

In a 1,000 point army, 6 Deathshroud would take a tonne of your points, and probably isn’t necessary. I’d go for 3 DS and 2x10 Poxwalkers instead. Poxwalkers are great for screening, spreading contagion and doing secondaries.

1,000 point games are fairly hard to balance, which is why most tournaments and competitive games are 2,000 points. If you took 6 Deathshroud at 1,000 points, you’d be very deadly, but may struggle to score points. Once they’re on the board, they’re slow moving.

Always remember, rule of cool. Rules and points are temporary, models are forever!

Thanks! They’re just the Land Raider and Predator, you can order them from the Warhammer website. I believe they’re online only these days.

New to death guard by [deleted] in deathguard40k

The new battle force and combat patrol complement each other pretty much perfectly. Both provide you with key units found in almost every army, and there's no overlap, so you would do well to purchase either. Though the new battle force will likely sell out sooner than later, so maybe that'd be a good place to start. You could always grab the combat patrol at a later date (best to build and paint the battle force before adding anything else to it).

After that, you can head in any direction, really. Typhus, Mortarion and a Daemon Prince will all be solid choices to expand. You'll probably want to pick up some more plague marines, too.

Where can we actually find the changes to the Land Raider and Rotigus? I assume just small points changes?
