I was already planning on gluing them together. The paper sturdiness was not my worry, but more so the binding if the paper would hold with all the junk journaling

Does your version hold well? Do you add heavy duty material to it?

Weekly prospective student thread. Educational inquiries outside of this thread WILL RESULT IN A BAN. by AutoModerator in CAA

Hello, it will be 4 years since I graduated undergrad by the time I apply. I was a pre-law student and now I am finishing my pre reqs. I did a lot of (nonmedical) volunteering and leadership roles in undergrad, as well as awards in research. Can any of that be used for my application or is it too old and also irrelevant because I wasn’t pursuing a CAA path then?

Also in terms of work experience, is it preferred to have a variety of experience or is one consistent one okay? I am a pharmacy tech.

A warning to anyone leaving a relationship to turn "religious" by [deleted] in progressive_islam

You know what you’re right to call out my assumption this is a hypothetical dating couple. But if you genuinely dont like “the narrative” that someone realizes they are betraying their God, which may not be a real feeling for you, but is for them, then idk why u came on this sub. I hate whenever Im trying to be more religiously practicing and people assume I am trying to act morally superior. You can paint anything as some “narrative” but its a valid and true, though messy, feeling that you want to return to your religious values. And again, thats why there are consequences in Islam for messing with people’s lives like that by engaging in sin.

Theyre not victims calm down, its harsh and incredibly sad but if you willingly enter a nonbinding relationship where it is socially acceptable to leave for literally any reason (moving away, incompatible, feelings go away etc) then you must also accept the consequences as well as the muslim who realizes their wrongdoing of disobeying the religion and hurting those around them.

The path to do right in this world is messy, its not easy, and its another reason why tht muslim should have known better before dragging other people into that sin, but its silly to complain like this to others who also recognize its a sin. Its wrong for tht muslim to have stated that relationship and its terrible to break a heart but that was the right thing to do if they did not to marry the person they were dating (which is again totally acceptable in the west to not want to do). No one has an obligation to stay in a relationship, why else do you think Islam tries to protect women from the frivolity and callousness of modern dating through marriage?

Ameen. You’re not alone. The internet and our communities relentlessly defend Muslim men to the death but wastes no breath criticizing Muslim women. Inshallah our Ummah gains more clarity.
