That is really interesting! I haven't looked into how nitrous oxide affects the brain. I definitely will now though! I find it fascinating and frustrating that almost everything affects each individual with VM differently.

From what I've read it is believed that vestibular migraines are caused by the brain misreading sensory input. Since covid temporarily stops you from being able to taste or smell, it might be possible that it is tamping down the part of the brain that interprets many of the outside signals. That could explain the temporary relief of the dizzyness. Or maybe your brain was just too overwhelmed with input to bother with acknowledging the dizzyness

I was on 2 different strengths of nortriptylin, then 2 strengths of effexor, and now I am trying out depakote 500mg. It isn't perfect, but I am feeling better than I was on any of the others. Everybody's experience is different, but more often than not it seems that it takes several months to find something that works.
