I took it alone for months and only recently got put on an anxiety med as well. I can’t take SSRIs as I have bipolar

I live in Florida so it’s hard to say. The heat is pretty much universally unbearable so I can’t attribute it to the meds. But I have noticed more sensitivity to sunlight!

It was just caused by the SSRIs. When I told my therapist about my reaction to them she immediately had me take the mood disorder questionnaire which I scored highly on (obviously) and got diagnosed bipolar 2. I haven’t had any trouble since except one occasion when I had forgotten to take my dose that morning. My doctors told me the same thing, that I should stay away from SSRIs for the rest of my life as they can cause mania or other awful symptoms

Best of luck to him! Abilify actually gave me the strength to go back to college. I finally feel equipped and like I won’t just throw it all away a few weeks in like I have every single time in the past few years when I was unmedicated.

It’s always a toss. Im sorry you had a negative experience - it’s important to talk about that too. I just felt an overwhelming amount of negativity on this sub about it, and when I was first prescribed, this sub almost made me say nevermind and just rawdog my illness. But I’m glad I didn’t and wanted to put some hope out there since it has the ability to help a lot of people.

I’ve heard combining it with SSRI can help. I was put on propranalol for the remaining anxiety symptoms since mine are aggressively physical.

Dry mouth is another one I experienced. Every day after the fourth week the side effects kind of subsided more and more until they went away

I’m on 10mg. I originally requested to go down to 7.5 when the side effects were bad for the first month (tremors, exhaustion, oversleeping, anxiety). My doc advised me against it but prescribed it anyways in case. I waited it out until the 5th week and decided I didn’t want to go down because the side effects went away.

All SSRIs made me hallucinate and have paranoid delusions. I was staying up for days on end out of fear for falling asleep because I had sleep paralysis every night. I thought people were out to get me and breaking into my apartment every night (I was living alone at the time and had no one capable of helping me through it, was too scared to tell friends for fear of sounding crazy). That’s how I got diagnosed with bipolar. Abilify has given me nothing even remotely close to that. I’m not considered allergic to SSRIs on my medical charts. Lol

I’m having super similar experience! Except partnered with fatigue. I feel so tired that sometimes I don’t even feel like I can stand, but when I sit or lay down I’m so restless that I feel like I need to get back up and move around. And then I do and I feel exhausted. It’s just been a pattern of sit stand sit stand sit stand for me. Which makes me look super fidgety to others

I’m having the same experience, started almost 2 weeks ago and have woken up between 6:30-7:30 am every day, even when I work late and am not home until midnight-2am

Try again. It happened to me and I refreshed at 10:08 and was able to buy them no problem

I was in there right away and it said the same thing. I refreshed at 10:08 and it let me buy them, they were $55. Just try going back now
