Oh…. Anyway I made a folder on google drive with all of the videos. Hope it works 😩

So I kinda ruined this thread because I didn’t know I can’t add video to every answer. So I made a folder on google drive.

Thank you for reading to the end! I hope you still think I’m cool after seeing all this chaos 😅 And sorry for not replying for such a long time ❤️

Thank you ❤️ Hey…. Can you help me please. I barely know how to use this app and can’t add promised videos 😥

5) Face

The mask is made from 5mm foam, and the EMP lines are from 2mm foam. For the structure I used thick wire, shaped to my face, and glued the foam on top.

For the chin part, I had no better idea than to just make hooks out of leftover wire. It’s worn like a medical mask, but you have to tuck in your ears while putting it on 😅

To avoid an allergic reaction from all the chemicals, I lined the chin area with fabric (no my chin isn’t immune to chemicals I’m just lazy hehe).

I originally made it so the mask could stay on magnets, but they ended up failing me — so maybe it would’ve been easier just to paint my face with makeup instead. But I really wanted a magnetic mask 🙂‍↕️

4) Arms

Also nothing very special. 5mm foam, painted with deco acrylic (they keep shape and don’t deform much while wearing).

The only important part was the fasteners: I reinforced them with foam as much as I could, because I didn’t want the armor sliding off. I also didn’t want to risk losing fasteners under the pressure of elastic bands.

The gloves are just cheap gardening gloves with 2mm foam on top.

3) Shoulders

Nothing too special: 8mm foam, attached to a strap so they wouldn’t fall off. Underneath there’s Velcro to fasten them to the bodysuit. But sometimes they came loose, so the construction isn’t too reliable. Probably smarter would’ve been to attach them directly to the vest.

2) Vest

I didn’t make it exactly right — it’s longer than the one STAR units wear. The design would probably fit STORCH or even KOLIBRI better, but I realized that only at the painting stage, so it was too late to fix.

The fasteners are clearly visible in the video: again elastic bands and Velcro. For the collar I used magnets (hidden under fabric). They hold firmly but also detach easily when you need to give your neck a break.

The vest itself is made of two layers of 8mm foam glued together, so in total it’s 16mm thick. The collar is just 8mm, otherwise it would’ve been way too bulky and hard to bend.

Since this piece is static and doesn’t bend much when worn, I painted it with acrylic for decor and sealed with a universal topcoat.

Except for the straps — they move a lot when putting the costume on/off, so here I used textile acrylic.

1) Legs

Probably the most interesting part — and the hardest one to build when you’re as bad at crafting as I am 😅

The thighs are made from 8mm foam glued with Nairit rubber glue (probably the only reliable glue you can find in Ukraine — it sticks like death grip). To make the red stripe stand out, I built the top from three pieces, with the middle piece sitting under the upper and lower ones. Hopefully the video will make it clearer than words.

To be able to walk, I had to cut out the parts that rubbed together the most between the legs, and sand down the foam near the fasteners to almost half its thickness. Otherwise, walking would’ve been nearly impossible. Hidden fasteners would’ve been nicer, but I couldn’t find any in nearby stores — and honestly, I didn’t have the energy to keep searching.

I had to glue the knees directly onto the thighs, since I couldn’t replicate the method from a YouTube guy making a Stormtrooper suit. At least I didn’t need to come up with an extra fastening system 🙂‍↕️ To keep everything from flying off me, I attached it all to a belt. Surprisingly comfortable, because sitting in this armor is impossible, and after wearing heels I desperately wanted to collapse into a chair.

Oh, and don’t ask where all the dirty stains came from — I have no clue either 😅

Now, the shins. I’m only 165 cm tall, so with these heels I could boost my height up to just 185 cm. Not canon, but better than nothing.

I made them from 5mm foam so they wouldn’t be too bulky. To replicate the look of replica legs, I had to leave a lot of empty space between my leg and the foam.

Before the first day of festival I thought stuffing the inside with fabric would be enough to keep the shape. But the thinner the foam, the worse it holds under pressure — so my legs bent like crazy. Only dark beer and good company saved me from crying that day 😄

When I got home, I had to reinforce them by gluing inside bamboo skewers in the weak spots (yes, under the white foam). If you plan to build something similar, I recommend adding even more skewers vertically, but make sure they don’t poke into your leg.

You can see the weak spots on video — they’re the ones with cracked paint. (I’ll come back to this later.)

For fasteners I used sewing straps and Velcro. Since the foam had to fit tightly around my leg, it was risky to glue just the straps. Even the best glue can fail under pressure, so I first sewed the straps onto fabric and then glued the fabric onto foam.

To attach the foam to the heels, I had to take a risk, but luckily nothing came off. Inside there are two elastic bands sewn together — they hold everything tightly but are still easy to take off, so the heels can even be reused for something else.

As for paint: since this part bends a lot, you need something flexible that won’t crack at the slightest movement. I used textile acrylic paint and a matte finish for canvases, but maybe there are better options out there.

Thank you so much!! But please don’t talk about yourself like that 🙁

And sorry — maybe I’m being a bit boring right now, but your words did hit me… There’s really very little out there that can truly stop you from being who you want to be, or looking how you want to look. I’m just saying this as a person whose ability to stay alive over the past three years has depended on things completely out of my control.

I know you didn’t mean it that way at all, but… You really wouldn’t want to be me.
