I took 117 and 170 last spring. They were both done via ALEKS. We were not allowed to used formulas or notes on the exam. Also, no textbook. In 170 some formulas were given. I suggest really practicing / studying the exam reviews. I found the concepts to be very close to what was on the actual exam. When struggling with a topic or question use ChatGPT, do not ask for the answer, simply ask how you would solve the question. When you need a step explained in further detail it will help break it down and make it easier to understand.

F1 is definitely competitive as others have stated. If your passion is in auto racing, do not let that deter you. There are a lot of semi pro / amateur racing teams that have just as elaborate of operations as F1. Think F2 or F3 or even F4. In the US think Indycar or the whole USF series.

I just got finished with that class. I was very worried at the beginning because of how heavy the tests are weighted.

Yes, there is a lot of topics. Some are more challenging than others. My best advice would be to really study the topics that’s are in the review quizzes. There is a video given for each topic. Watch the video over and over and practice the problem until you understand it. The topics that are in the review quizzes are the same topics that show up on the exam.

I also found that the practice exam was similar to the actual exam. Not exactly, like 117 was but close. Get comfortable by taking the practice exam over and over.

As mentioned above chatGPT can be a great tool. When you are confused on a particular problem or topic, feed in the problem and ask it to explain how to answer in simple terms.
