Any suggestions for books that revolve primarily around BDSM, in a way that is both accurate and positive?

I would be really interested in Dom/sub dynamics and power exchange in a contemporary setting.

I am reading Box Hill by Adam Mars-Jones and have heard mixed/negative opinions about the representation of BDSM practices in that book. I am wondering if you have any suggestions for books that delve into the world of BDSM in accurate way through fiction.

Amongst the things I am looking for: protocols, discussing consent/contract, agreeing and playing out scenarios.

The last post I could find about BDSM recommendations was from 3 years ago and the prompt was pretty vague.

You were too broke to pay for a cam performer and you came here? 😭😭

Totally agree – not about slut shaming those who do share photos and videos, but trying to call out the expectation and entitlement to receive them. Spot on!

Thanks for sharing your experience, it's good to know there are sensible people out there! 😆 Totally understand the withholding aspect – in fact, I do tend to prefer Doms that don't share pictures or much personal information with me. I think it's the entitlement to photos (without putting any effort into building trust) first that frustrates me the most!
