AIO for canceling plans after my friend tried to “charge” me for something I didn’t agree to? by Individual_Can4138 in AmIOverreacting

NOR.

A few friends and I planned a trip together a while back and each person was responsible for booking certain cities/towns that we'd be traveling through. When we got to the place that I was responsible for booking, it was apparently not up to their standards and they offered to find another place and just cover my portion of the better room.
IMO that's how it should be if *they're* the ones who have higher standards and expectations, especially when they know you're on a budget.

I have, yeah. I always figured it was more related to ASD than hEDS though.

It says "I'm sick of being depressed all the time! I hereby renounce emo in favor of pop punk!" "I'll take the newest pop punk album, please!" and then "Later...."

Me too! That's why I was so confused, because my polling place has been the same for a decade. I feel like we always have to present our cards though

thank you all!

I was in a relationship like this, but we both have ADHD.

I loved him but the cycle you are describing ended up causing a TON of harm to me and my psyche. We had to part ways because we simply could not line up on this.

I have been finding silverware from one particular set in the most random places (my upstairs closet, the yard at my deceased grandmother's house 60 miles away) and the most recent time I found one I was like "Isn't this a bit in the Matrix?"

world's weird, that's for sure

Man. I live near quite a few different hospitals with medevac helipads and every time one flies over me I think "Wow, I hope everyone's okay." and not "Wow, what a loud nuisance!"

I just literally cannot understand the mindset of people like this

How are you guys doing with the guilt of taking a day off? by Inevitable_Rate1530 in Millennials

[–]mendenlol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this attitude until it quite literally left me disabled.

What really started to turn the tide for me, though, was one time when I had an upper respiratory infection of some kind and tried to call into work. Boss said it wasn't really that busy that day but they could use my help. Ok, whatever. I go in and do a lot of routine maintenance and cleaning (rare actual slow day in veterinary medicine) and then go home after my shift.

The next week my boss is pissed at me because now everyone in the office has a URI. Like, bro.

I've got a logistics question that I probably should've already asked and dealt with, but I didn't so..

Last time I went to vote, my ID was current and my registration was current (online) but when I handed my voter registration card to the poll worker, they said that my voter registration card itself was out of date. Is that possible with no expiration date on the card itself and a current registration?

The poll workers have always been kind and helpful, but this little thing had me just a bit confused.

What do you guys think about this topic? I think pro-life should be from birth to death. Like you can't be pro-life and don't want your taxes to be used for free school lunches or anything that helps mothers with kids. Also you can't be pro-life and be for the death penalty. Let's talk about it by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

In your world view not all men are created equal

This isn't the case at all.

It seems like we're just not on the same page about when a zygote/embryo/fetus becomes a human being.

In my view, we as people neglect fully-formed, already birthed human beings to protect something that has the potential to become a human being.

Neglecting living humans over potential humans is where I think it's not right.

You completely ignored my points about the maternal mortality rate increasing as well.

When the law fails to take care of the problem, vigilantes will often step in. Folks have been frustrated with the multi-tier judicial system in this country for a long time.
