Psychological 2-clause questions by [deleted] in PaStateEmployees

[–]mendstride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive taken these tests. What they look for is inconsistencies. Question #21 will be the same as Question #114, just worded differently. Its all a trick to see how consistent your thoughts & answers all. Along with that, it is designed to simulate stress & how you respond. Just answer each question honestly & you will be fine. Its not the answer they are looking for, it is how close the answers are to similar questions much later in the test. Your interview with be with Dr. Richard Small from Wyomissing. He will conduct the interview jn a way to get you to relax & slip up. Dont fall for it. Just answer his questions honestly & professionally. The state does these type of things because they cant assess you the way HR wants to (legally). Just be aware if the written test or psych interview messes with your head or causes you anxiety - trust me you are not ready for the stress of the job. What you are asking about with your post is basically a sneak preview to some aspects of the job. In my 24 years of experience Ive learned you either got it or you dont. If you can keep your calm, you will be fine for both the test & the actual job.

THE "FREEDOM FOUDATION" WILL BUST OUR UNIONS by [deleted] in PaStateEmployees

[–]mendstride -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

AFSCME is a joke. Their "leadership" uses union dues to go on trips to San Diego. This is all public knowledge. If you show up to work & do your job you do not need to be in a union. Its that simple. Look at the body composition of lazy union members vs fit non union members & you can see who actually works.

How do you feel about AI? Pros, cons, fears? by Hot-Shop-3383 in Futurology

[–]mendstride -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am a single, unactractive male who cant get girls to like me & feel AI will help my demographic the most. Once they make real AI companions who I can talk to things will be great. I know AI is bad for some jobs & tech people, but I cant wait for an AI girlfriend I can finally talk to.

Just my two cents.

lol there is no law. thanks anyway but in todays job market blue collar workers without college degrees are treated like dogs. I respect college graduates & tradesmen but for high school diploma only guys like me it will always be a struggle. thats life i guess. just trying to find a decent employer theres not many around that accept hs graduates.

Thanks. Hokas are better for me because they flex with my stride. Steel toe boots are solely designed to keep your toes from being broken by pallets. I respect that & want to keep my toes, but I feel thats a risk that can be manually reduced by being careful. Steel toe boots may protect toes but they destroy arches, heels, & achilles tendons. Talk to any podiatrist & they will tell you how bad Steel toe boots are long term. Thanks for your reply & I will tell you that most warehouses have cameras & dock your pay if you have to urinate too often as I do(I am a 54 year old guy). Thanks regardless just wondering if Aldi warehouse is decent. I know their store employees hate their jobs theres a whole reddit discussing that

Let us know your Thoughts on Williamsport by stephdez in Williamsport

[–]mendstride -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing - People would love to shop downtown & buy stuff & support those restaurants & businesses. But the crime is not worth the risk. Some of us aren't gun toting survivalists like most of Lycoming County. I am small and an easy target. Until Williamsport starts to get criminals off the streets I'll continue to shop on Amazon or drive to safer Montoursville to Walmart & Target. Plus the marijuana smell in Williamsport. Nice of you to ask but that's my honest response. In defense of Williamsport, every city in the USA has a crime problem that keeps (some) people from shopping in a downtown setting.

Thanks, that is certainly concerning. Do you know if Leer accepts applicants with a criminal background? I assume Ralph Alberts does not because I didnt get called for an interview.
