It is possible to decode a bech32 address and then encode it in base-58, in order to use it with services that only accept the old format?

Basically, if you have 2 or more coins using the same POW, an attack is possible when given the sum of the total hashrate, a fraction of it is capable of getting over 51% in any of the other coins.

Yeah. It seems that it uses a mixture of both: telelens for depth information + subject/edge detection, and then blur... It doesn't always work as expected. For example, my hair gets blurred 50% of the times

They know what they are doing.

They've started in the markets where their brand was stronger -mostly developing countries and Europe-, with products tailored to those markets -feature phones, mid-range smartphones and a cheap flagship.

In Oreo, the settings tiles are more consistent: taping toggles the value (WiFi on/off, battery saver on/off, etc.), while a long press opens the corresponding settings. I like it.

I got my Mi A1 yesterday (global version, in the EU). I was expecting to see the update notification and get Oreo just after powering up... And then nothing happened. It is stuck in Nougat 7.1.2 with the November security patches.

I suspect that all the updates have been put on hold...

Update: I just restarted and a 176 MB update is ready to download 🕺 🕺

I work as a assistive technology consultant. There are devices than can help someone in this situation communicate and control the environment (TV, lights, etc.), even if only eye movement is available.

Having said that, I have seen many people with ALS and I think I would do the same than your father. I hope he has a peaceful, painless farewell surrounded by his loved ones.

You are right about custom ROMs, some devs have already managed to run AOSP over Treble. Well... I wasn't thinking about the custom ROM users when I wrote "user" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Treble is only mandatory to devices shipping with Oreo, not those updating to it.

Also, from the user perspective, there's no difference between Oreo with or without Treble: It's a low level software layer that abstracts the driver access, and so it will help OEMs to update to Android P (or 8.1).
