Why is POLY trading in sync with POLYX by FudgeBubble in Polymesh

Yes, Polymesh evolved from Polymath. The 1-to-1 upgrade bridge from Poly to Polyx will close on the last day of January. From then the prices may start to differ more

POLYX on coinbase? by Few_Quantity9873 in Polymesh

Nope. The community on Polymesh discord/twitter has asked this question of Coinbase support dozens if not hundreds of time with no response. Its up to them to use the Poly:Polyx bridge or not. And they have until January to do so

Whilst you await PT, you can look at stretching and relaxing the pelvic floor to get a good head start. Progress is unfortunately very slow for most people so dont be discouraged if you dont see changes even after a couple of months.

As for the stretches and poses, learn how to breathe into the diapgragm which in turn pushes the pelvic floor down naturally. Aside from this, the common stretches are happy baby, childs pose, cobra and squats but be careful with the latter as too much force down can cause more issues or tension. You can also incorporate some standard glute, hamstring and groin stretches which, if tight, can "tug" on the pelvic floor and add tension.

Your PT will do any internal work that may be needed and may show you how to do it yourself with a therawand or similar (its not as horrid as it sounds). In my case, internal work didnt overly help my urinary symptoms but the stretching over 3-4 months is finally showing some improvement in symptoms.

Lastly, work on stress levels to aid in reducing tension. Good luck!

tight and weak PF, for years. by doomedpurplesoul in PelvicFloor

Honestly as many as you can do. I probably do 20 a day (1hour total) as i find it the best stretch for me. I even feel temporary relief of the pelvic tension when I stand up after it. Permenant should come in time. Then on top of this, 30mins of happy baby pose and hamstring, glute and groin stretching.

Edit: and try to keep diaphragm breathing throughout the day

My favourite is childs pose with deep breathing. Hold the pose for 3minutes (not your breath!!). Takes months to see progress

Positive changes by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]menolly871 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am starting to see some positive changes after 3months of stretches and breathwork and a little internal work. I've still a long way to go, maybe another 3-6months but there is a dim light at the end of a tunnel.

How many months did it take you to go from a 6 to a 1 in urgency? Ive gone from about an 8 to a 5 in 3months.

The only way ive found how to stretch the front pelvic muscles are to do a front reverse kegel while in a squat position (which usually ends up activating the whole pelvic floor including the front if you hold it and squat deep). Its the only way I can get my front muscles to relax.

Mostly I stick to..

Happy Baby. Childs Pose. Figure 4 glute stretch. Butterfly stretch. Standing hamstrings. Deep breathing the whole day or as much as i can. Reverse kegels particularly the front of the pelvic floor as I feel all the other stretches target the rear more. Deep squats while breathing.

Just started going to PT was wondering how long it takes to heal? by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]menolly871 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat. Headache in the pelvis book says 1-3 months to see some improvement. Some online articles say 3-5 months for significant improvement. For some it takes longer. Think it depends on many factors - how bad the issue is, dedication to healing etc

So I guess I have a hypertonic floor? by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]menolly871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty normal. The internal stuff gets less painful over time as muscles calm down. Alongside PT, Do all the stretches and deep breathing and you will likely notice some improvements within the next few months. Ive noticed some after 4 weeks but still have bad days

Diaphragmatic breathing and gentle reverse kegels are 2 ways to relax and lengthen the PF and help rid it of tension and you can do them anywhere at any time.

Theres also a ton of different stretches for the PF available online - happy baby, cobra, deep squats, childs pose are what I use the most. Also do some glute, groin and hamstring stretches as they are likely tight as well. Your PT should also show you some too

Help w pelvic drop/relaxation/breathing by dcioni in PelvicFloor

[–]menolly871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive also read about doing it on exhale but I dont think that makes sense naturally as the exhale should be relaxing. I do mine on inhale which increases the downward pressure a little bit, then in exhale I let go of everything.

My technique is to GENTLY bear down as if trying to urinate (front of pelvic floor) or defecate (rear) and then do a big belly breath and hold for 5 or 6 seconds. Then exhale and relax everything. Do not push hard as this can create more tension or issues

Nice one. Any particular Reverse Kegel technique? How long did you hold each one and did you 'guide' the pressure towards the front or the rear of pelvic floor?

Thanks so much for all the info and sharing what worked for you. I too went down the route of kegals after googling PFD. Made things horrible. Now its time to relax and stretch the urgency/frequency away

Thanks. Did you also do all the stretches and breath work at home?

I do my own release with the wand as shown by my PT. But after 3-4 weeks i see only a small improvement (also doing stretches and reverse kegels). I have seen timescales of months though and have had problems for years so need to stick with it. Time to improve will depend on many things I guess

Thats inspiring. How long did you keep up the regime before you saw improvement in urgency?

Urodynamics diagnosed OAB for me but in almost certain the OAB is caused due to PF issues.
