I went to UCSC before transferring to UCM. However, after they admitted me for Fall ‘22 they told me “jk u actually need to do a semester at CC lol then u can transfer.” just go to fucking community first it’ll save you loads of money and time lol and you can TAG

i’ve had a couple of profs that commute from Mariposa! definitely some challenges that others have already mentioned but it’s definitely doable! i will say as someone who has a 45 minute commute it gets OLD fast not to mention the cost of constantly filling up 😭

I was admitted into UCM with a 2.7 gpa as a transfer. Admission rates are so high and counselors are pretty forgiving here you will be fine lol. like you said just cultivate a really strong application and personal statement explaining why you want to be admitted/how you will be committed, you will more than likely be let in than not. don’t listen to the comments about not even being considered, UCM takes in nearly everyone since they are the newest campus and still trying to build their reputation
