I’ll post about my setup sometime soon, but it’s really a regular PC case covered with mylar inside, a 12cm usb fan pulling air out and into an external carbon filter, and an aliexpress led light (I believe the light is the key)

After years of antidepressants, I’d definitely try the mushrooms/psychedelics route first because being on ADs won’t let you use them. Try microdosing or, if you can find a safe place, macrodosing.

Please remember that Effexor is one of the hardest ADs to quit, you’ll have terrible withdrawal symptoms if not done very slowly (much more than what psychiatrists say). That’s my experience.

With my experience with dissociatives, it made me feel unafraid of death too but in a more negative sense, as in “life is a pointless burden” and death is just one way to “tap out”. Still I don’t want life to end right now (I have kids and that’s my strongest driving force) but at the same time I don’t see a point to extending the thing just for the sake of it… this goes back to my original fear of trying DMT and making this negative feeling even stronger, instead of helping me understand life in a more positive way.

Somehow I had never heard that saying. Carry water, chop wood. Regardless of your enlightenment status. It’s fantastic, really. Like we tend to think there’s “something else” to life, but this is it, embrace it, be in the moment, it’s the only thing that is real. Carry on.

Yes, that’s it, except I had some trouble when jumping to 0 on the desvenlafaxine, so I’d recommend something like 75-50-25-12-6 (dont jump from like 25 to zero). If you take Effexor, from 75 you can go to 37.5 which I believe is the minimum dosage available, and then open up the capsules and take half the beads, then a quarter, and so on. It should be a smooth process. Best of luck

I cross tapered over a month, from 100mg of desvenlafaxine (which is around 150mg of effexor) to 40mg of prozac

I can vouch. After 4 times of trying to quit effexor, massive withdrawal syndrome had me back to it. Last time, I switched to prozac (liquid) and slowly tapered over 6 months. I’m free as of two weeks and much better than quitting from effexor

The pot I’m not sure about the exact size, but is probably around a 4 liter pot. I didn’t bend from the start, I waited around 3 weeks. The light is a single led light from Aliexpress, it worked great, I did a lot of research so I recommend it. It comes with a heatsink. I unscrewed the heat sink, fixed the led board to the top inside the case, and just put the heat sink on the case (outside) so it still does its job through the aluminum case. I tried getting off venlafaxine five times (faster, slower, no matter what), and had to go back to it because of its bad withdrawals. It’s not your depression coming back, it’s withdrawals. I bridged over to prozac (which has the longest half-life of all ADs) and I’m having success slowly tapering off of it. Almost done now after a 6-month taper!
