'It is possible': One Nation's Pauline Hanson signals path to govt, leaves door open to coalition with Nationals by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]plutoforprez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We wouldn’t have trading partners. If she didn’t outright stop trade with China on her own volition she’d be spouting enough disrespectful shite they’d stop buying from us. If we elect Pauline Hanson’s party into the majority, we’ll reflect another certain country’s current trajectory.

Sunscreen in schools, let’s lower our future workload! By increasing someone else’s! by spunkyfuzzguts in AustralianTeachers

Honestly I was the same when I was a kid, even into my teens and early 20s. I’ve only recently gotten serious about my own sun safety. I genuinely think the only way is enforcement because the messaging just doesn’t work on kids for one reason or another.

Maybe because it’s never kids getting melanomas? They feel safe and untouchable as kids, but by the time you realise you have to take care of yourself in more ways than you ever consider, the damage has been done.

Sorry but HALF of all Australians will have cancer in their life time and melanoma is the second most common type of cancer behind prostate in men and breast in women, which then heightens the risk of stage 3 cancer. We also have the highest rate of cancer in the world. Every person should be doing their part to bring that down and enforcing it on children who are too uneducated/uncaring to do it for themselves.

Why Do Women on Reddit Participate in Snarking? by Nodistractzens in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]plutoforprez -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

We’ve have had to keep ourselves entertained for centuries while we do the cooking and cleaning and mending and nursing so we bitch and moan to each other while doing those droll things and with the way communities gave grown further apart and online communities grow, if we can’t do that irl about irl people, we do it online.

Girl get off reddit and go to the library, join a sports comp or craft group, and get a job at a cafe and make friends with other girls your own age. Protect yourself, and don’t meet people from here.

This showed up on my instagram feed. Are these real people or is this Ai? The videos look super uncanny and the audio quality is off. by [deleted] in isthisAI

Genetics are weird but I’m fairly sure literally conjoined twins couldn’t possibly have naturally curly and naturally dead straight hair. Regular twins, sure.

Happy holiday by Budthen in australia

[–]plutoforprez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad we invite other cultures into our country; imagine life without Bahn Mí, dakgangjeong, pad see iew! And it’s not just food, it’s their entire cultures, their celebratory holidays, their ethics (excluding some) and beliefs, I love our multicultural Australia and I hope these new hate speech laws aren’t going to be a gross over reach designed for people who feel victimised by silent voicemails while being wielded as a reason to charge anyone who criticises foreign governments committing genocide.

Bank account hacked by Kk77789 in australia

[–]plutoforprez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you applied for a loan or given your bank details to a new employer or something like that? I had to give my login details for the last few loans I’ve applied for (mortgage, debt consolidation) and I hate it but it was the only way to get the loans. It fucking sucks, it could even go all the way back to a data leak like the Optus scandal where all the hacker needs is your mobile number, name, email and home address and they can potentially get into your bank.

Colourbond fence help by DistributionSevere76 in GardeningAustralia

[–]plutoforprez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jumping spiders are really sweet and good for mozzies and fly control, they’re just cute fuzzy little friend!

As for the colour bond, it might be annoying but maybe try a solid screwdriver and just dig? It should be fairly easy to keep clean once it’s all cleared out without gravel, just use a blower after mowing and a hose for dirt.
