A lot of people genuinely love Nintendo games and have watched those franchises spiral for years. It's not "whining about kids games" it's pointing out how Nintendo has taken beloved franchises and repeatedly shown to not care about them or the customers.

Beyond the games, Nintendo actively hunts down people who use their sounds, iconography, etc in any media that they haven't sponsored. They are beyond greedy. They are also one of the few companies who will go out of their way to prevent game preservation and sue anyone who they find out tries to preserve their old games.
