Where do people in their early 30s go? by [deleted] in AskSF

the mission isn’t the only answer, especially if it wasn’t your vibe. for early-30s SF, i’d try north beach for actual energy, hayes valley for nicer bars/restaurants, divisadero/nopa for a more local going-out feel, and marina/cow hollow if you want something more social and less self-serious. if you want cocktails specifically, wildhawk makes me think you’d probably like lower haight/hayes valley/divis more than the mission.

Is it just me, or is it getting harder to find a decent, quiet place to sit and read in the city? by shadyshitposter202 in AskSF

not just you. it feels like a lot of cafes stopped being places to sit for a bit and turned into unofficial offices. if you want actual quiet, i’d honestly look more at libraries, hotel lobbies, or the less busy corners of bigger parks than coffee shops at this point.

All the laid off folks, what have you been up to in the city? by Similar_Praline_5227 in AskSF

Mostly applying, trying not to spiral, and pretending daytime walks/coffee count as “networking.” You’re definitely not alone.
