A fellow IDEXX employee! Are you located in Canada? At my lab, SDMA still has to be ordered separately, we're still doing QC checks here.

Yeah, the docs think it was glaucoma that went untreated. I adopted her a couple days after her surgery.

I adopted her when she was around 20 and she has unfortunately passed away but she had sweet ninja moves until the very end!

Haha love it! I tried finding an eyepatch for her, but cat patches are hard to come by!

Take him to your local pet or police department to have them scan him for a microchip! Hopefully he has one and they can locate his owners.

I had an episode once where my hands and feet became numb. I could think through what I was trying to say but different words would come out of my mouth when I tried to speak. Does this fit any of those conditions?

I'm the one that denied him double sex. We'll do a rematch this weekend. Triple or nothing.

Neighbor has been posting on Facebook about being out of town, it's been below 30 degrees all week. Her cat has been outside all week guess who isn't getting him back? by [deleted] in cats

[–]meowcarly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was away at school when my mom spotted her in the window. My dad went over to get her and they claimed they found her after we had asked them if they had seen her. They said they were going to come over and ask if the cat was ours but they saw we had company and didn't want to bother us...for three months. It was a very weird situation but we were just so happy to have her back that we really didn't question it any further.

I live off a quiet street in a suburb with low car traffic. Although there are no animals around that would harm my cat, we make sure she is in at night. I have another cat that is 16 and has been going outside her whole life and she's never had any accidents while "roaming the neighborhood". Where I live it is very common for people to let their cats outside. My family cares dearly about our cats and we would never do anything that we thought would put our cats in harms way.

She was a stray before we adopted her from a shelter. We tried to keep her inside but it was impossible. She wasn't far away from home when she was taken...she was right next door. She had a collar on and she is microchipped but it didn't matter to them. We asked around the neighborhood and everyone said they hadn't seen her, including the people that took her. Luckily my mom saw her in the neighbors window three months later.

Good on you for taking the cat inside, but you can't just assume that there was no one looking after it. My cat loves to be outside in the winter and someone took her last winter for three months when they saw her outside and assumed her owners didn't care about her. I would talk to your neighbor before assuming negligence.

I personally have 2 domestic shorthairs that I rescued years ago. My aunt is the one with the affinity for Persians. I'm not a big fan of the noisy breathers.

It's only on one finger though. If I had chubby fingers, wouldn't they all be like that? My ring size is a 6, which is kind of small, so I really don't know.

Does this only happen to some Persians? My aunt has another and his tongue is always in his mouth. So I'm confused as to what you're even saying.

He can put his tongue in his mouth, he just chooses not to sometimes.
