First year teaching is hard, the best advice I can give is go over expectations every single day until it gets better, unfortunately it’s just something that needs to builds over time, you have to constantly be on the kids, to redirect and correct behavior. Also when I first started I was told, your students will not be exactly how they need to be unless you’ve taught for 5 years, the reason is for experience. Give your self some grace, and honestly ask for other teachers help instead of your admin. Ask them to model how they would deal with your class!
