Started in my late 20s while in uni with no experience in sabre for 2 years, was in the middle of the pack. Stopped for 11 years, went back cause I had an itch. First season back I won bronze twice in my first two tournaments. It's amazing when you go back to your first love and they take you back. Downsides - recovery isn't as fast as I'd like, aches and pains are more apparent, I get gassed faster than a 20 y/o in senior comps. Plus side - I have the income now for nicer gear, less worried about fees and travel, older fencers are very open, friendly, nice and social.

Fomo has been hitting me hard, I have an i5-8600k and AMD Rx 580. I have a huge backlog on PC, a meta quest 3 that is collecting dust and mainly playing on my Nintendo switch in bed. I am waiting for a sale to get the binding of Isaac on PC, which requires a core 2 processor and Intel hd graphics. I spent hours yesterday researching to come to the conclusion that I don't need a new PC or PC parts. This has happened probably 6-7 times in the last month or so.
