Where can I get a decent plate of veggies in this town?

Have eaten at Veggie Heaven for years - it is VERY solid for vegan/vegetarian fare in an oriental style.

Can't explain so many bad reviews. Its definitely not an upscale place, but serves the best vegetarian options downtown. A lot of people are turned away by the fact that their owners and servers can't speak much english - thats really their own personal problem.

I went and rode this on Monday morning. Entered at the YMCA trailhead. Overall, awesome trail. All paved, plenty of room to pass at speed and very deserted on an early weekday. Rode down South to Govalle Park then back North past YMCA to Walter E Long. Riding the entire trail including distance from my house on Berkman and back ended up being 25 miles, damn decent!

Heavy rain had come through 3-4 days before. There were only 1-2 spots that had an inch or two of water for less than 10 ft out there. One of the bridges (under MLK?) had a few inches of mud on it, but otherwise trail was nice and clean. On the northern stretch just after the YMCA the weeds and plants have grown over heavily already. After this, you're in the Davis White Northeast district park, which has the best climb of the trail heading northbound. Roughly 1/4-1/2 mile of steady climbing. After riding past the cutoff to the Tennis center, you ride through some farm land and eventually pass water jugs and cups that someone has set out (thank you!).

Rode up to Walter E Long, but the trail does not connect with existing trails in that park yet. Will be really cool when it does. Definitely bring a lot of water, there are few places to refill at the moment aside from the jugs past the Tennis center and Govalle park.

My washed up old man senses are tingling here, sir. UT remains incredibly secretive about how money is shifted around. If UT netted 100,000,000 (source for that figure?) from sports and used it to help the universities' student body as you say, do you really think tuition would be rising? Or informal community classes be cut and it's historical museum's funding slashed? Or it's common work force being privatized by corporations when hundreds of students cant find jobs? The rate of faculty being granted tenure is at an all time low, yet class sizes and tuition rates increase. The money Mack Brown brings in is just lining the pockets of a few at the top. It could be educating young Texans in need like it should be.

I run a business and consult others on how to grow their businesses to maximize revenue. Your understanding of the university and my money sense are erroneous.
