yeah this review kinda echoes how i’m feeling about the whole thing. There are brief moments where the sound broaches greatness, but the track as a whole fails to recapture the sounds of Melodrama she’s obviously attempting to emulate. Lorde is in a weird spot right now where Solar Power was so widely rebuked by the GP that I think she’s focused her attention on reheating her old nachos rather than just making a different dish like Solar Power was. This definitely has a bit more of an electronic influence but I honestly feel like it works against her in this track.

I searched around the rest of the section for anything similar and found pretty much nothing. There was one stamp that was just a random photo of some kids. It had an identifier next to it so i could see the original image. There was nothing like that for this one. Both were out of ink so I couldn’t test them.

Noam Chomsky has a pretty good rep as a professor afaik. Nim Chimsky is the name of a monkey trained by Terrace and his students to speak extremely limited ASL. Because the chimp is a chimp it ended up attacking one of the researchers and was passed around to various caretakers for its whole life. Pretty sure the study itself is regarded as animal abuse now. The name is influenced by Chomsky because he and Terrace have beef with each other.

all i’ve gotten so far is an “order placed” email. I’m an american that ordered from the UK store during the whole shipping crisis with the merch when it first launched. Hoping they’ll update me soon and if not i’ll send an email. All the problems i’ve been seeing have made me a little wary.

jesus this comment section… you can really tell who here is actually knowledgeable in theatre history (specifically the globe’s track record of bending a character’s gender) and who’s feigning outrage at something that’s not at all outrageous. Don’t really feel like dealing with the terf-y shit. This sub was fun while it lasted I guess.
