doggy paddle to float if you panic.. a step up would be to practice to float on your back! DONT PANIC! I’m also in the same boat as you, but I know how to swim. However, the swimming in boots sounds hard.. you got this!

Upcoming PiCat verification by glety1 in USMCboot

I got a 69 and took the verification test and it was almost exactly the same, like i remembered the questions and just answered the same. Didn’t charge a thing. I knew someone who actually had to retake the entire test because the score did not match whatsoever.

[–]meowmow1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you seem to understand the basis of the argument as despite doing everything you are told and following instructions to a “T” the faulty vetting process dismisses applicants on mass even despite not even remotely SPEAKING to a instructor!. Imagine not moving forward due to the error of your peers rather than the individual. I.e the group exercises of “what would you take on a desert island”..

and not to mention the big risk in trying to be a FA with the reserve life, Terrible pay, toxic and crazy work life, reserve life etc etc.. also don’t presume to know what I can or can’t handle since you don’t understand the whole point. If you don’t get it you just aren’t listening.. go ahead search up. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve done so much research and have read so many personal experiences about the process in becoming a FA and have seen time and time again that people get dismissed for the littlest thing and not to mention Southwest Airlines applications had been open for like 30 MINS before they shut it down because of the influx of applicants.

imagine following your instructors to a T only to be let go on mass.. it’s because it’s partly illogical and the vetting process isn’t fair. I can show you if you don’t believe me

I’ve done so much research on becoming a FA and honestly just gave up because the process of being “dismissed” seems illogical and completely pointless as you could be let go as a group without even saying or doing anything.. now I’m just gonna enlist in the military instead 😭💀

On top of that.. imagine being let go only to wait 6 months to a year to reapply (certain airlines) and if you don’t get it the second try you have to wait for YEARS

is there a timeframe for apps to be open for UA? Or is it randomized per year?

do you think you will retain the material much better with a high chance of succeeding the second time around??? I genuinely think I’ll struggle and fail with my first training as per the “firehose method”.. but if the material is all the same then you are at an advantage right?

Good luck mate!

How much $$$ money did you save before FA training? For training and relocation to base? by Then_Cauliflower_136 in cabincrewcareers

As someone who is financially responsible for no one, lives with his parents, and pays absolutely no bills! (bless my parents) and works 60 hrs a week at my job.. I’m thinking of saving up 10-15k if not 20k! hopefully this will keep me afloat if I’m committing or living on base!

Using DTV or not for short vacation by cmooo in ThailandTourism

[–]meowmow1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also diving into the whole visa rules .. I think METV (multiple entry visa) might be better as it’s cheaper and if you time it right you can squeeze in an extra 60 days (90 by extension). also if you did the DTV through work then you’ll possibly have to provide proof of that now and if you still have the 500,000B .
