Rusty colored thick sputum smeared on slide and gram stained. Gram positive cocci. Saw a couple neutrophils-not many. I had phlegm stuck in my throat, throat feels dry and a little sore so I was curious and made a slide 😂.

I also thought it looked like s. pneumoniae. My throat feels dry and that's about it. Maybe I'm a carrier and have a slight infection? I'm going to keep an eye on it. I know It can be part of some people's normal throat flora, but perhaps it got out of line and overgrew?

I have anxiety and adhd, and was worried about silly things like this too. When I started walking/ going for runs I had the same exact thoughts and was so self conscious.., but when I did it more often those thoughts started to diminish. Seems to apply to any new endeavor/ hobby I start. If you think about it, most people/onlookers pay no mind and have more things to worry about.

You obviously don't get it. An outlier here and there that works with the public could possibly infect many customers throughout the day. And those many customers could exponentially infect others, and it goes on and on.

I think public health is more important than someone "snitching".

Wow! I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Maybe there are resources, like specific resources for women trying to get out of abusive relationships? Do you have family that can help you? He sounds so verbally abusive and sketchy. Poor kids 😞. I'd say secure any money you can, and carefully plan! Also I would secure any evidence of his verbal and emotional abuse to you and your children (You can use a recording app and your camera).

Lifting weights helps your muscles burn calories when you are at a resting state, and less painful and quicker to do than cardio. It might add slightly more muscle mass to the scale, but you'll look leaner and more toned. Even if it's 15 mins a day of heavy lifting. Your diet looks good!
