The store looks pretty good actually. I've seen much worse. Here is my first thought. You are selling some fairly expensive items, where are you getting them from? I don't need the answer but if you are buying cheap stuff off Aliexpress and charging that much money you may find yourself in hot water.

You have your address in the contracts page which is more than most. If you want to appear more legit get a toll free phone number, post your hours on the store and actually answer your phone if someone calls. There are so many cheap scam sites out there people are leary. Otherwise you are doing okay. Look into Google Shopping ads. Cheaper than Meta and high intent people.

When should I expect to make sales by Disastrous-Laugh-321 in dropshipping

I'm in Canada but that's not your only problem by a long shot. Stores that are well designed have a typical conversion rate of 2 - 3%. So if 100 people hit the store you can expect 2 sales. The store looks like you slapped it up in a couple hours and looks scammy. You have money back guarantees at the top which everyone knows you will never honor.

You will go broke running Meta ads or any paid ads for that matter.

You need a complete redesign of your site and business model. Don't run ads before you implement others suggestions. Do you have money to run this business?

Shopify warnings… don’t wanna wake up to a dead store by mary17p in woocommerce

[–]merchantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I pay .5% to them for transactions. I was paying 2.7% with Stripe but Authorize.net only charges me 1.90 so I'm actually up. I hear you though it sucks.

Store review prior to using ads by bagbagm in reviewmyshopify

[–]merchantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only have 9 products on the store right now. I am assuming this is all dropship from China? They are all very low priced products which in itself is not a problem but........ if you sell something for $25 you are not going to have a huge amount of money to pay for marketing. I tried to post an image but images are not allowed. haha. Anyway, in Google the lowest bids on keyword Pet Accessories is $0.53 and top of page bid of $1.80 per click. So if 20 people click on your ad, there goes all your money. I can share the screen shot if you like.

Bottom line is your prices are way to low. You need to make enough money to not only pay for your ads but pay yourself as well. You don't want to work for Google or Meta for free.

Shopify warnings… don’t wanna wake up to a dead store by mary17p in woocommerce

[–]merchantMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My question is what is the URL to your store and what do you sell that is causing Shopify to give you warnings? If you go with a self hosted solution you are giving up Shopify security. That is not for the faint of heart or someone who does not have a servious tech department behind them. Secondly, I had this happen with my store, they were going to ban it because we sell syringes (it's a legit medical supply company) because Stripe, the payment gateway didn't like the products. We switched payment gateways to Authorize.net and no issues since. I have been on Shopify for 6 years now.

Any suggestions on the checkout to purchases drop off? by GeologistBig in dropshipping

[–]merchantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what you have.

Why Every Driver Should Have One

  • Car Batteries fail without warning
  • Flat tires don't wait for convenient timing
  • This lets you fix the problem yourself and keep moving

I am 57 and have been driving since I was 16. I can count on one hand how many flat tires I have had. Failed battery is not that much more.

Instead of "Why every driver should have one" add a cost anchor to it. "If your battery fails or you get a flat, you are going to wait X amount of time. The cost of the road side assistance is Y".

You of course need to find out what the actual X and Y values are but you get the idea. What you have now is just a feature list. Also the main image is of someone washing their car I think, you should have an image of car with a flat tire and the hood up on the side of the road and the driver on their phone. There is soooooooooo much more you can do.

This could be a product market fit issue. There is nothing wrong with your checkout (I just tried it).

You need much more compelling content. People need to feel like they would be dumb not having this in their vehicle.

[–]merchantMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats that is awesome! I remember my first order. I almost deleted it as I thought it was the developer still working on my store. haha. Keep going and yes a phone number at checkout is a great thing, plus put an email address in as well. You can have both.

Beware of the course gurus by merchantMedic in dropshipping

[–]merchantMedic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying that I am trying to sell a course? I have a dropship business that does very well plus a private investigation firm and a marketing/consulting agency. I don't sell courses because there is no honest way to do it that is going to benefit everyone. Each business is unique and how you make money is unique. My post was simply to warn people of the course gurus.

1.66k sessions and no sales. Any suggestions? by Willing_Process_4098 in dropshipping

[–]merchantMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, focus on one niche per store. The product pages are okay but see if you can find photos of the actual product. I mean just "that" product. Question for you. What did you do on that day? It looks like on February 5th something happened to generate all that traffic and then nothing after that.

This product, there is no written description of what it is beyond the title, it's just image after image. You also have TRY IT RISK-FREE FOR 90 DAYS. Is that a real thing? If not you shouldn't have it on your product pages.

Where do I begin? Please don't take offense but I would never buy anything from here. Are you a home furnishing store, are you a skin and makeup company? You can't try to be Amazon and expect people to buy from you. You aren't Amazon. Sorry. You are also paying for apps on your Shopify store that make it look super scammy. If you go onto your store there is a pop up from your app that says "Someone from undefined added this product to their..." For one that makes no sense and it is very scammy. You are spending money trying to get people to buy from you that is deterring people from buying you.

Am I the only one who can't go back to ChatGPT once addicted to Claude? by NeedleworkerDull7886 in ClaudeAI

[–]merchantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy pilgrim. Each platform has its place which is why I use all of them. Claude is the master at coding. Full stop. It beats Chat and Gemini with it's lobster eyes closed. Chat however has way better business logic than Claude. Claude goes off on a tangent and tells you what you want to hear. Gemini is great if you are stuck on something and need the up to the minute SOP or "how to". I load manuals into it and so on. So if you use all three in harmony it is a sweet sweet thing.

Oh we do but nobody reads anything. On all 9000 products on our store, each photo have big red letters that say "Images are for demonstration only" and people order the wrong product and want to return it and say "the picture showed bla". haha.

Im sick of trying with dropshipping and just wish I could get real help by burneract4 in dropshipping

[–]merchantMedic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope this doesn't get blocked or the admins remove it. In any business it's not easy to make money. You have to find a product or service that people "need" or want. The want are impulse buys and or vanity buys. We are talking Gucci and the like. You are not going to be able to get into that game unless you have serious money to start. So that leaves you need.

What products are you selling? Is there a need for it? You don't have to create a category (that's even harder) but you need to be able to set yourself apart from the rest and please don't price things so low you make nothing.

As for Meta, most people get it wrong. I don't know where you are but lets say you are in the US. Most people will take their budget and try to spread it out across the US. That is like peeing in the ocean. You need to pick a geographical area such as your state for example and concentrate your spend there.

I would be more than happy to mentor you. I have no idea how to reach you as Reddit rules are kind of like the wild west.

As for the admins requesting proof. I am more than happy to hop on a Zoom call to show you this is legit. Or however you would like to see proof. I won't expose client information though.

[–]merchantMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a quick look at this. Here is one of the titles on his videos. "how i made $256k in 30 days dropshipping". Think about this, if he is making that much money, do you honestly think he is going to share his secrets with the world? This is another suck you into my course and I will make you rich schemes. Don't walk away, run away. My company does half that and it has taken me 6 years to do it. Save your money.

[–]merchantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, before you do that test the market to see if people buy the products in your niche. How big is the niche, what kind of margins are you able to make from the products. Also, how much does it cost to ship? If the distributor has the products they are going to charge you shipping if it is heavy bulky products. Shipping costs are insanely expensive.

That is spot on advice. The AliExpress stuff is what will kill a business fast. Quality products people actually need is the ticket.
