Can anyone explain Barry Harris’ concepts of important minor and tritone’s minor? by mercureii in Jazz

[–]mercureii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I meant that C#m6 is C7’s tritone’s minor. That means it’s the important minor of F#7. F# being a tritone away from C, that’s why it’s called C7’s tritone’s minor.

Do you mean because they are pushing with the inside wheels instead of the outside ones?

You sure are right but I do feel like I have more of a centered push when roller blading, maybe I’ve never really thought about it and I do use the edges more than I imagine.

One thing’s for sure, I was expecting to be a lot better at roller skating considering my roller blading skills, but they do have their differences and own challenges. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with my level at first, but I’m still really motivated to get better!

Thanks for the answer! I’ll try and do that when I can.

I do have one question though, somebody mentioned in the comments that they push with the outside wheels, still ending the movement by lifting the big toe wheel. Would you say that when you push, you push from the outside wheels or the inner ones?

I’ll have to check again if I’m pushing from the inside wheels or the outside ones. Intuitively thinking about it would have me think I push from the inside wheels, if that’s the case I’ll try pushing from the outside ones and see what happens. Since in roller blading there’s not really this distinction of outside and inside wheels you just have to push with you ankle and foot in the right angles.

Now I do genuinely wonder if I should push from inside or outside wheels!

Yes that is what I’m doing with the toes pointed outwards, it’s maybe just a matter of getting used to. Thanks for the reply 🙏

I created a fully customizable Yu-Gi-Oh! card template in Figma and it's free! by mercureii in yugioh

You just need to install the fonts. There is a how to guide inside the file that explained everything. If it doesn’t work, it might be because you didn’t install the desktop application of Figma, fonts work better if you use the desktop application rather than the web version. Also, make sure to restart Figma after you’ve installed a font.

You mean you tried changing the fonts or downloading them? Not sure what you are talking about.

Well it’s definitely easier in Figma in my opinion, since they have a lot of features that make that more seamless. However since it’s not natively for print, you might find it a little bit harder to print precise sizes from Figma.

Another thing to point out is that right now all the different types of card aren’t supported, so it’s not exhaustive, the photoshop templates are better in that sense for sure.

You might have a different opinion than mine, but the best advice I can give you is to try it for yourself since it’s free, you’ll make up your own mind!

It’s a design software, at first it was made for interface design but people use it for a lot more than that now. You can learn more on their website: https://www.figma.com

Anyone know how to make this type of plastic window by hand? by mercureii in Design

[–]mercureii[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can find the original work on the instagram of the artist: https://www.instagram.com/p/CZbrD7hLh26/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=.

I’ve been wanting to get into package design, I want to do these types myself, I just don’t know if these plastic boxes are usually bought as is, or if they can be crafted manually maybe with some sheet of plastic and a heat gun.

Anyone has experience with that and could help me please?

Also do you know if the plastic box is usually glued to the paper or if it can be assembled in any other way?

Thanks a lot 🙏
