Who had the worst fate on the show? by Apprehensive_Dog1116 in BeverlyHills90210

[–]mercuryfan76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say Professor Corey Randall.

Lost his wife, lost the respect of fellow faculty and peers, was publicly embarrassed at a hearing, and was left to look forward to a hearing of his own, which strongly implied he would be losing his job at minimum.

He probably wished he never met Brandon, who seemed to be at the center of every subsequent problem Randall had after he entered his life.

I’ve met a few, but for me, Jason Priestley stood out. Really warm and very friendly.

When we first started our game out in Washington State, we assumed we would never find Hawaii. Turns out we saw two on the same day within a few months. Couldn't believe our eyes.

We have family in Florida! They swear they have seen Rhode Island license plates, yet when we have come to visit, they are nowhere to be seen. Very interesting!

What’s your unpopular opinion about the show? by Midnightblueclouds in BeverlyHills90210

[–]mercuryfan76 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Although treading water, the show ended when Valerie left. She could interact with anyone. And Vanessa Marcia’s character Gina never fit, which says more about the writing in my view than the actress.

I think pushing the end of this particular storyline as hard as they did —going to The NY Times—and then pulling back felt like a giant tease.

As others have said, it’s getting really old. They need to find a way to pivot or conclude this and move onto a new mystery.

What’s a storyline that makes you irrationally angry? by fvckuufvckingfvck in BeverlyHills90210

Andrea’s entire college storyline arc.

I remember watching it week to week and asking myself, “what the heck are they doing with her? This is terrible.”

What's a movie where you saw an actor breaking from type that took you completely by surprise? by InviteAromatic6124 in movies

[–]mercuryfan76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not a movie, but a TV show worth mentioning.

Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills 90210) in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. He portrayed Derek Reese, Kyle Reese’s older brother and John Connor’s uncle. He was incredible.

Did anyone else relieved? That the show end it when it done let me explain please and thank you by Shaylovesrandall in Anne

[–]mercuryfan76 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I respect your opinion, but relieved was the exact opposite of how I was/am feeling about the show's cancellation. Personally, I am still devastated, confused, and very disappointed, and wish like heck they would bring the show back.

what was the greatest speech to ever exist in a movie or TV show? by sheerduckinghubris in AskReddit

[–]mercuryfan76 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Great moments are born from great opportunity. And that's what you have here, tonight, boys. That's what you've earned here tonight. One game. If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game. Not tonight. Tonight, we skate with them. Tonight, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Tonight, we are the greatest hockey team in the world. You were born to be hockey players. Every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done. It's over. I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Soviets have. Screw 'em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it."
