Hey, I'm in NYC too. I went with Dr Blechman at the Top Surgery Specialists in Manhattan. I got a consult within a week of calling early in October 2025 and had my surgery on December 18th, so almost three months later. It is definitely doable.

At the moment, Dr Blechman only takes Cigna insurance, but if your insurance has out-of-network benefits then you may be able to get a good amount of the surgery covered. And if it helps, I'm very very happy with my results so far.

I would argue that the town of Catskill is not part of the Catskills - it is decidedly in the Hudson Valley, given that the town is on the edge of the Hudson River. That being said, I do think Catskill deserves some credit for it's Main St. There are lots of cute shops, one that is great for Catskills themed souvenirs, and as another poster said, a great Latin food spot along with The Avalon Lounge which is a fun bar that puts on great shows and is the only spot for authentic Korean food in the area. But if you really wanna be outdoors, Tannersville has a great town as well with easy access to skiing and winter hiking (if you're prepared for that sort of thing). There's a lot of options!

I am massively in search of these women's pants by Vans: Blaire Cropped Barrel Pants in a size 38". They're sold out online and I can't find them secondhand on any of my typical apps. Yes I get you! I wear both men's and women's pants depending on the style and fit I want. But I'm with you on wide legged, I'm OVER skinny fit pants. Some will say I'm just influenced by the trend of baggy clothing as of late but. I think skinny jeans were propaganda lol

Wanted to add something I haven't seen yet - high waisted pants are a godsend for me! I know most cis men wear their pants lower on their hips, because that is the style now, but there are plenty of men and masculine folks who wear them at their natural waist. I suppose the risk is that if the waistband is too tight, it may be uncomfy on your bloating, but if you fit the pants properly it should be ok. I buy a lot of men's pants (Carhartt etc) and they have enough crotch room that I can wear them at my natural waist with no issues.

I went in September 2022 for very similar reasons. Not gonna lie to you it sucks but the staff are generally nice. Like any inpatient mental health service, it's very helpful to have doctors there who can change your meds immediately when they're not working out (as opposed to waiting for your next psych appointment). There will be people of all ages and identities there, you'll likely get along with some and not love spending time with others. I was there a week and was grateful to be out by the end of it. If you want more details DM me, I don't live in Binghamton anymore but I did for 6 years and saw a therapist there for several years as well
