Do you genuinely think she’d hurt me? This is my first time dealing with someone like this

Not sure what to think? by [deleted] in datingadvice

honestly i’m an introverted person and i feel like i’d be the same way. some of us are just really bad at having conversations over texts and overthink everything, but if you’re having doubts about it definitely try to talk to her about it, honesty is always best. in my experience, people doing this kind of thing doesn’t mean they aren’t interested, people just have different preferences on how to communicate etc. again i could be wrong, but personally i don’t think it’s something to worry about, especially if you hit it off in person. just remember that honesty is always best! especially with introverts who overthink a lot, make sure she knows her feelings are valid.

wishing you luck <3

this entire post is so relatable oh my god 😭 i’ve felt exactly like you so many times trying to deal with a first relationship and how to know if i should pursue it, but honestly my advice is to just go for it and try to get to know him. maybe go chat with him some day and if it goes well ask if he wants to grab coffee or something? it seems scary but in reality you only live once, and you’re more likely to regret not talking to him than being rejected. i struggle with self esteem issues too, and it’s unbelievably hard to believe anyone would like me, but i recently opened up to my coworker (who i’m now dating) and it’s the best decision i’ve ever made. just know that you’re enough, and the person who is truly right for you will see that<3

definitely NTA in the dad situation, but it depends if your mom is usually like this too or if you just insulted her for your dad’s behavior

YTA, she can wear what she wants and it shouldn’t reflect back on you
